About
Aenor… once a thriving island, lost to ash and ruin.
The fire elementals, led by the enraged Guardian Bal’Ramos, rose without warning, consuming all in their path. The skies darkened, the land split, and despite the efforts of brave heroes, hope burned away with the flames.
But not all was lost. A handful of survivors fled, their hearts heavy with loss yet fueled by fragile determination. Through storm and peril, they sought refuge and found it here, in Lavea—a second chance.
With the kindness of its people and the resilience of their own, the survivors begin anew. But rebuilding comes at a price, for darkness is never truly vanquished. Whispers of ancient power stir beneath the surface, and as new threats rise, so too must new heroes—blade in hand, bow drawn, and spell woven— to stand against the coming storm and shape the fate of these lands.
A New World Awaits
The story continues in Ilysia, a VR MMORPG set in the newly discovered land of Lavea. Picking up after the fall of Aenor, the survivors now strive to reestablish themselves—but new dangers rise to challenge them.

This So Far has been a joy to play as an old school mmorpg player and seasoned vr player. Updates come at a great pace , and yeah the community is small but i feel that more people will join in the upcoming updates. This vr-mmorpg is shaping up to be a great addition to the online VR world
In a much better state than I was expecting. It needs some polishing though.
Great overall geography, great story/quest line/ great community

The people coming to this game expecting it to be instantly wow modern, you are going to be mad. If you are looking for one of the more fun VR MMORPGs that bring you back to a different time in gaming in the BEST ways? You will like this, simple but fun art style, straight forward quests and combat (with more nuance than most realize I think) and the ability to just log on with your partner/friends and just play is pretty out the box. If you have ANY prior MMO exp you know exactly what you are getting into here it is a Classic MMORPG. Life skills are fun, The combat feels pretty good (better than alot of other titles tbh) and the ability to just play how you want makes this a no brainer for F2P. Cons- Its not all good, there are some serious edges that need to be smoothed out in departments like proxy chat and Audio settings overall. The Soundscape and game SFX are good, but it does NOT respect what settings you press in terns of muting yourself or other people as soon as you open your book (menu) it reverts everything back to default regardless of settings, the only work around is to COMPLETELY leave the local channel and then it becomes a solo adventure, I dont want to play by myself but I also dont want to listen to lil timmy get screamed at by mommy cause the dishes are not done either. Some core features are buggy at times and the lag becomes annoying even on monster PCs, The UI needs help but its perfectly playable as it stands, and since I have started playing there have actually been changes and updates in almost real time as ive been trying it. (the Inn was completely revamped and redone, some questing and quest board features added etc.) and its already on the route of being better but it will take some polish to make it a fully modern MMO. All that being said, this title is FOR SURE worth picking up and trying to see if it fits your playstyle, or your gameplay loop you prefer cause you might be surprised. Just don't expect it to be a perfect AAA game right now, but understand it has the bones to become one someday easy if they actually care enough to try and continue to push for better. (like it seems they genuinely are honestly)
Love the game so far! good controls and a fun atmosphere as well as a helpful community! definetly reccomend giving it a go!
Strong recommend for anyone looking for a MMO experience in VR. Helpful in-game community, strong core mechanics, smooth loading and fun gameplay but needs some bug fixes and a bit more content. It's still in Early Access though and I hope Ilysia gets enough traction to make it into a blockbuster game. IMO it's much more fun than Zenith. The core of the game is fun and engaging without feeling cumbersome or tiring. Kind of steep learning curve as the descriptions/info in-game is a bit lacking at times, so if you prefer to be spoon fed quest, lore, etc then likely not for you at least not until it's been fleshed out a bit more. This seems to have the side effect of dissuading the younger audience. Ilysia reminds me of playing EverQuest 1 or Asherons Call 1 but in VR, albeit with a lot less content but I'm all for it! The devs seem to be actively adding more content and raising the level cap at the time of writing this. Having played a lot of flatscreen MMO, the (limited) dungeon fights in Ilysia are definitely more fun, at least to a jaded older gamer like myself.
What an awful game. I thought I'd give it a try after all the updates, the people were so unwelcoming. It also tends to lag and have janky controls. There is potential, but after feeling so unwelcome, I will just delete this from my library.
Reminds me of the old school MMORPG - very well done, classic MMO mechanics and plays well, running on Quest 2 - using VR desktop, good to see climbing mechanics being used as well. This has great potential and I heartily recommend it.
I really wanted to like this game. I get that it's early access, but it is so unpolished it doesn't even feel like it should be released. Not even as a beta or EA. The combat is just terrible, the enemies will get stuck and regen their health and make you start all over again. The hitboxes are wonky, and a lot of times the enemy was standing just outside of range while attacking me, doing no damage. The UI is clunky and buggy. There's seemingly no waypoints to guide you to your next quest or items you are supposed to find, just wander around until you find it yourself. The map is supposed to guide you I guess but with that isn't very helpful as it's also clunky and limited. Just overall very unpolished. Hopefully it will get better, but I enjoyed Zenith more than Ilysia when it was around. May revisit in the future.
