About
Aenor… once a thriving island, lost to ash and ruin.
The fire elementals, led by the enraged Guardian Bal’Ramos, rose without warning, consuming all in their path. The skies darkened, the land split, and despite the efforts of brave heroes, hope burned away with the flames.
But not all was lost. A handful of survivors fled, their hearts heavy with loss yet fueled by fragile determination. Through storm and peril, they sought refuge and found it here, in Lavea—a second chance.
With the kindness of its people and the resilience of their own, the survivors begin anew. But rebuilding comes at a price, for darkness is never truly vanquished. Whispers of ancient power stir beneath the surface, and as new threats rise, so too must new heroes—blade in hand, bow drawn, and spell woven— to stand against the coming storm and shape the fate of these lands.
A New World Awaits
The story continues in Ilysia, a VR MMORPG set in the newly discovered land of Lavea. Picking up after the fall of Aenor, the survivors now strive to reestablish themselves—but new dangers rise to challenge them.

I actually paid money for this. It went F2P. What did I get for my money? A thank you, maybe some cosmetics, maybe a pet, or a mount ... nope. Absolutely nothing. Just a total middle finger to early supporters of the game. Okay fine, but is the game any good? Is it worth the download? Absolutely not, unless you're interested in a very basic MMO that looks like it came out of the 90s. This game makes Classic WoW look like a modern visual masterpiece. The gameplay is even worse. I kept getting an error message that I was too far away to pick up the item that I was right next to. Repeatedly. It would not go away. The combat was even worse. Spam attack. Move left or right or back. Spam attack. Rinse and repeat until you die of boredom. Rate 4/10. It's free, but my time is valuable. This isn't even good enough for free!
a MMO type VR game like Wow. have played it more on my Quest than on steam. all was cool until i was helping my Niece with the game using parental controls that let me see and hear what is going on. Just not safe for kids seeing my niece was hit on her 1st day trying to do the training quest with a Man creeping on her so much she tried to run from him, but he followed. Love the parental controls was able to get in and record video of him. he was drop Bad words racist words and going nuts hopping up and down on her. when he found out was was watching it all on the cell phone before i got in game. he started attacking me. and saying bad things about me how am i watching a kid play the game. do not think he knew about the Quest 3 parental controls. calling me a perp trying to do anything to get the blame off him. glad i have it on video. the Devs have not banned him yet. and over 24 hour later he was running up on my Nephew as he heard the sound of a Kid he would go running to them. only to find me there also, so reporting him again. Not Safe for kids. and lack of Dev team and admins doing anything. even with him using bad words around the kids and other bad words then attacking me after i told him i was watching him on the cell phone with the parental controls. so i hope they can take care of it. but for now not safe for kids.

I'm a kickstarter supporter and I really can't recommend this. I'm sure if you've looked into the game a bit and read other reviews people say there's potential but that's something that's been said for years and that potential is never going to be realized. Kickstarter bit: There were a lot of ambitious promises made for kickstarter and a lot of rewards promised to kickstarters like extra keys to give to friends, cosmetics, special perks in game, has anyone received any of that?... No not at all, the extra keys aren't even a thing anymore because they went free to play. Have they implemented ANY of the mechanics that were supposed to make this game stand out? Also a big nope. The actual game: Very early on this game was already doomed to fail, the beta versions played worse than the alpha versions and the alpha versions weren't really that good to begin with either. It's not really gotten any better, updates and fixes take forever and the fixes tend to not really fix anything. I feel like the devs have been saying they have been reworking the character controller (movement) for over a year now. I could never find anyone in game (Steam is only a small amount of time of my actual play time, played on oculus / alpha / beta builds as well) and the combat is horrible and unresponsive, enemies don't react properly to being hit, hits don't get detected most of the time the discord server has the same 5 people talking in it so not a really lively community there either to find people to play with. Visually it's... alright? It's not great but MMO's are hard to balance performance wise and having an MMO in VR adds even more challenge which I totally understand. Other than the combat the gameplay is just very bland, they promised grand things like a caravan system so you could set up shop somewhere, specialize in cool professions, fight giant titan bosses etc but what we got instead was fighting wolves and crabs who ignore your hits most of the time. I could go on and on about why this game isn't worth it and out my frustration with this specific project that I had such high hopes for but I think you got the point by now. I wish I could've recommended this to people and have a proper VR MMO but unfortunately I'll just have to wait until something else comes along. TL;DR: Game isn't worth it and don't let all the people saying "it has potential" tell you otherwise. Devs have not done anything to deserve that type of trust unfortunately over the last 5+ years
Ilysia VR is a great example of what VR MMORPGs can become. Even in early access, it already offers an engaging world, deep character customization, and a skill system that allows you to grow your character in your own way. I’ve tried multiple classes and builds, and each one feels unique and rewarding. The environments are beautiful and fun to explore, and I enjoy teaming up with others or going solo. There are still bugs and missing content — as expected in early access — but the developers seem active and passionate. I hope this project continues to grow. It has huge potential. Highly recommended if you love VR, fantasy, and character progression.
During the first playtest, there was a lot of jank, but a REALLY good foundation for something amazing. Several years passed without me playing and... Wow... The jank is all still there and they somehow made it worse..? What even happened? I had such high hopes for this game, and it turned out to be the worst VRMMO on the market. I spent money on this, and it turns out they went free to play and just turned the money I spent on the game into little cosmetic tokens.
Is a fun VR MMORPG, however there are some bugs/kinks to work out. The voice chat system does not work. I don't want to hear everyone and their mother surrounding me, nor do I want everyone hearing me. When I am in a party, it should limit voice to party members, or give us the option. Also, when we turn down local voice chat to zero, it should mute all voices besides party to us. Otherwise, honestly, it's a very fun game
can't open inventory or codex on htc vive. unplayable.
Its shaping up pretty well. Has a ways to go, but it kind of at the front of its field.
For a free-to-play game it is good. I enjoy the combat, and the exploration.
