Illvelo Swamp

Great game - good fun. Certainly worth playing, especially if you are not into these sorts of games. I say that because this game is more fun for me to play as I am not into the technical areas of shooting games. Yes, this game has that... but it's fun for people who just want to play and enjoy without getting caught up in scores.

Pretty damn fun. It is a very non-traditional shmup with a focus on scoring. Definitely not for everyone nor every shmup fan; but that's part of what makes it so enjoyable for those that 'get it'. Took a few runs for it to sink its claws into me, so if you do try it I recommend keeping an eye on the refund timer and giving it a proper, PROPER go.

This is a game with a soul. You can convince yourself of its brilliant maniacal style. Just look at it. And listen to the music! The action is frantic and somehow very crunchy. Many exquisite colors will be blasted into your eyeballs and delightful sound waves will visit your ears. If you think that shooters are too difficult for you, I highly recommend to give this game a try. You take no damage from touching enemies, and the game really won't immediately beat you down. However, it still provides a challenge through other means. Each stage has several objectives that can be quite tricky to accomplish. They are challenges like defeating all enemies of a certain type or defeating enemies in a certain way. You can sail through any stage without doing any of its objectives, but they are needed to unlock new routes. I found it quite motivating to figure some of these out. It's also great for busy people, because it can be enjoyed in super quick sessions. The stages are short and sweet, and each route is just a couple of stages long. You can directly jump into any unlocked stage from the main menu. Please be aware that I have only played the first 12 of 100 stages at the time of writing this, but I already like the game so much that I wanted to leave this early review.

Game's great so far, will write more after I wade deeper into the waves of the endless O'cean... Radirgy 2 next, pretty please. I will buy this game a third time from you if you do.

Одна из немногих консольных игр, которая сильно выиграла от переноса на ПК с возможностью управления клавиатура + МЫШЬ вместо двух стиков. Ну и еще одна из тех игр, в которых я реально открываю и постоянно сверяюсь с приложенным pdf-мануалом. Ничего не понятно, но очень интересно. Рекомендую посмотреть на ютубе запись со Shmup Slam 8 с этой игрой, где комментатор объяснял в общих деталях что надо делать, ибо это КРАЙНЕ нестандартный шмап.

this for years has been my favourite game i could never recommend to anyone in good faith given previously it was only playable in the west via importing a physical copy of the game & playing in Japanese. i am a huge fangirl for RS34's schmups, but Illvelo Swamp is the one i play most often. everything about this game is so extremely swagged out: the OST is great, the art direction is peak denpa & the orders system creates such a compelling progression for a schmup. as with the other RS34 games, playing aggressively & fast is rewarded, the doll abilities & megalophaz are extremely satisfying to chain. hoping to see the other games get the same pc port & localisation !

this game makes you think differently about the shmups (and it was by no means impenetrable for me, like hellsinker was)
