Iggy’s Egg Adventure is a prehistoric platformer 75 million years in the making. You play as Iggy, a baby Velociraptor who must rescue his mother from her evil caveman captors, while collecting as many of her eggs as you can along the way.

[h1] Quite bloody platformer where you play as a small but deadly dino. You dash and jump through the levels occassionally slaughtering some cavemen dudes and other dino scum. Music is prehistoric like so if you have monobrow you will gladly enjoy it (just don't smash your display with a club). Level design is mediocre and sometimes split into multiple paths but nothing complex. Most of the time you will look for eggs (the big ones). Game feels a bit uninspired and I did not enjoy it, later levels are more interesting though. You can score points but it's unnecessary. Play only if you insist on playing another average platformer. With Iggy's Egg Adventure no longer being sold on Steam, I guess my review here is more for my personal list-checking than anything else. It's a bit clunky, and the lack of a tutorial makes it a little bit of a chore to find out what the buttons for your extra abilities are (tip: L is pounce), and the way Iggy's momentum carries is rather drifty. There's a scene in the first level after you get past a guy with a spear and jump up some tree branches where there's a collectible on a stone platform just below and to the right of a higher stone platform. Easy enough- until you step off and realize that Iggy drifts too far right to land, so you'll have to get back up there, jump, and nuance your momentum leftward so that you'll just barely land on that platform with the collectible. Understandable they want some skill stuff, but this seems a bit off. Even so, the levels do work, and the controls can be satisfying once you grow into them. It's great to have a game where you actually get to play as a dinosaur. No, no, don't tell me that dinosaur games are everywhere today; dinosaurs have been almost always enemies and almost never playable for practically all of gaming's history; the proportion of games where you actually *play* a dinosaur has not even *begun* to approach acceptable beginner levels for how scarce they've been for decades. Iggy's Egg Adventure, though cartoonish and absolutely uninterested in any sort of prehistoric accuracy, is an okay platformer game to scratch that dino-playing itch. If it becomes available to buy again, I'd recommend it for maybe $5. ___ One thing I do want to warn, though, is that the agreement you're forced to agree to to play seems to leave room for your ability to play the game to just be pulled out from under you. A weakness of digital, internet-reliant game distribution. If, again, you do get a copy, be ready to make copies of that copy to play offline, lest whoever owns the rights decides you don't deserve to play what you payed for.
game of the year why did you not pick this up its a easy choice mate
ADORABLE GAME. Very simple, all you do is parkour, trying to save your mom (or so I think). Very cute and silly characters and skins. All characters have their own abilities while the skins are a pleasant touch to the game. Not overly complicated, just occasional annoying parts (imo). Oh and BOSSFIGHTS. I think they were a lovely touch, how you have to figure out a way to defeat each boss and all. 10/10 game but I think its no longer sold in Steam for some reason? Thats sad news :(
Iggys Egg Adventure is an unexpectedly good 2D platforming game with an unique lore, art style and have the Sega Mega Drive gameplay feeling with modern graphics: Pros: + good level design + fair challenge + good soundtrack + time attack mode is fun + 5 playable character every one have its own move + 6 themes worlds all are well + good graphics for what it is + enemy diversity is alright + 7 bosses all are fun to fight + 21 levels (3 of them are boss levels) Good game i had kinda a lot of fun with it, its better than i throught for sure its one of the better platformers even it feel a little cheap.
