Before I played ia scatter city I had a small penis, no friends, no girlfriend, depression, and absolutely no life. These things haven't changed, but the game is pretty good
"ia scatter city" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this advertisement for an Unreal Marketplace asset. Instead of being a game, "ia scatter city" is an advert/demo for an Unreal Marketplace asset that creates a pointless endless environment structure that nobody wants or used. It's absolutely wrong and inappropriate for asset creators to spam Steam with demos and advertisements for their crap game asset packs. This is harmful to the gaming industry, it pollutes Steam with non-game garbage and makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games by developers who do the right thing. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". It's just a tech demo for an Unreal Marketplace asset pack.

Not much to be said, it's a tech demo of a procedurally generated sci-fi city that you can fly through on some sort of hovercraft. If you restart the game the weather conditions change, if you get the night version it's very difficult to navigate since any little pole sticking out will stop you completely and they'll blend into the black of the background. The FPS was quite unstable for me with a stable 60 while deep down in the city, but going down to around 30 while flying above it, looking down in the day version and almost down to 20 when doing the same in the night version.
fascinating utilization of resources to create something grander than the sum of its parts. that being said, surely an actual game (simple as it may be) could be tooled out of this? even if it only means flying through rings or from point A to point B (with the challenge being utilizing a 3d map). nevertheless, i'm grateful for the experience (whose limits can be explored in roughly 10-15 minutes fyi).
