I didn't quite grasp it the game is unbelievably poorly explained, and it was hard to tell what actions did or what to do, there doesn't seem to be an end to it either, which made it rough to experience, Overall, I didn't quite enjoy my time with it. Better than Mega Man 7 tho
I wish it was morning all the time is a psychological survival visual novel developed and published by LuuuLuuuL that combines narrative tension, difficult choices, and resource management into an experience built around uncertainty and emotional pressure. Rather than leaning on action mechanics or traditional horror systems, the game creates discomfort through atmosphere and decision-making, placing players in situations where every choice carries consequences. It uses a minimalist structure to build suspense gradually, creating an experience that feels more personal and psychologically driven than many larger survival titles. The premise immediately establishes an unsettling tone. Players are placed into a dangerous environment where survival becomes the central objective, but staying alive depends less on combat ability and more on managing limited resources, understanding situations carefully, and making difficult decisions under pressure. The game creates tension by forcing players to constantly think ahead while living with uncertainty. Small choices can lead to larger consequences, making progression feel unpredictable in a way that strengthens immersion. As a visual novel, storytelling naturally becomes one of the experience’s strongest foundations. Dialogue and decision-making drive progression while creating opportunities for players to influence outcomes through their actions. Instead of presenting choices that feel purely cosmetic, the game attempts to make decisions meaningful by tying them directly into survival and narrative progression. The result creates stronger emotional investment because players become responsible for consequences rather than simply observing events unfold. Resource management introduces another layer of pressure. Supplies remain limited, forcing players to balance immediate needs against long-term survival concerns. The game avoids overwhelming players with overly complicated systems, instead keeping mechanics focused enough to support narrative tension without distracting from storytelling. Managing available resources creates a constant sense of vulnerability that complements the psychological atmosphere effectively. One of the game's strongest qualities comes from its ability to create unease without relying heavily on traditional horror presentation. Suspense grows through uncertainty, limited information, and the fear of making mistakes. The atmosphere often feels quiet but uneasy, creating tension that builds naturally over time. Rather than depending on sudden surprises, the game focuses on emotional discomfort and anticipation to maintain pressure throughout progression. Visual presentation supports the experience well. The art direction leans toward simplicity while reinforcing the unsettling mood. Character designs and environments contribute to an atmosphere that feels isolated and emotionally heavy without becoming visually overwhelming. The restrained presentation works in the game’s favor because it allows tension and storytelling to remain the primary focus. Pacing plays an important role in maintaining engagement. The game allows quieter moments to exist alongside more stressful situations, creating contrast that strengthens emotional impact. Slower sections provide opportunities to reflect on previous decisions while building anticipation for future developments. This rhythm helps the experience avoid becoming emotionally repetitive while maintaining consistent tension. Replay value benefits from branching decisions and alternative outcomes. Players interested in exploring different paths or understanding how certain choices influence events have reasons to revisit the experience. The structure encourages experimentation while reinforcing the importance of decision-making as a central mechanic. The focused design philosophy may not appeal equally to everyone. Players searching for fast-paced gameplay or extensive mechanical complexity may find the experience slower and more narrative-driven than expected. Much of the game’s strength depends on patience and willingness to engage with atmosphere, storytelling, and emotional tension rather than action-heavy systems. What makes I wish it was morning all the time stand out is how effectively it creates pressure through simplicity. The combination of survival mechanics, meaningful decisions, and psychological atmosphere creates an experience that feels intimate and unsettling without requiring large-scale systems or constant spectacle. It understands exactly what kind of emotional response it wants to create and remains committed to that vision throughout. I wish it was morning all the time succeeds by building tension through vulnerability, uncertainty, and carefully constructed narrative design. Its emphasis on survival, psychological discomfort, and player responsibility creates an experience that lingers beyond its immediate playtime. Players who enjoy visual novels with darker themes and meaningful choices may discover a memorable experience that relies more on emotional impact than traditional horror conventions. Rating: 8/10
Not my favorite LU game but certainly a unique one
Simple but interesting game, ir reminded me of the old flash puzzle games, only wish the dialog was in english as well.
I honestly thought this was going to be more a visual novel than a survival game. I don't even remembering buying this game, I thought I got this for free? Maybe it was at some point idk but regardless the visuals are very cute looking but the content of the game is rather depressing. The gameplay is rather repetitive but I don't think I've reached the 'ending' people are talking about, so we'll see. Personally, I thought the game was pretty fun, I was playing on Scenario A hoping there was some kind of ending but realised like 30 rounds in that Scenario B was the story mode one so ... oops?

There are no explanations, so it is mostly trial and error to figure things out unless you check out a tutorial. Also, you repeat the same things over and over. You just have to pick the right options and get lucky. On my first three runs, I didn't know what I was doing and died within a few days. Once I finally started to figure things out on my fourth play, I just repeated what I’d done and ended up with the good ending. That is pretty much it. I don't think it is worth buying unless you want to support the developer.
good. took me a while to get the hang of it but i got it soon enough. recommend this
Lovely art. Confusing game. Check guide after dying a few times if it gets too frustrating. 7/10 I wish there was a menu option that allowed you to view the endings you've unlocked. :/
100% Completion Review: A fun little game. It's a pretty simple LuuuLuuuL game and if you like it I recommend checking out the other games. It's not a very large game but there are a good few secrets and endings to the game.
