Got to level 11. First game in against actual humans, I tried using crossbows to try to be as quiet as possible, and died to a cheater less than 1 minute in.
this game is like schrodinger's cat. there both is and isn't a person at any given location and the only way to know for certain is to wait and see if you get shot in the back of the head. it's the stupidest game i've ever played and i'm so sick of it.
would not recommend this game https://youtu.be/-_TNvY-EIm4?si=zpvz1PzJW4XViNcU go look at that youtuber the cheating is like escape from tarkov bad. And how they responded to Huuge was flat out disgusting NO company not even CryTech should never have reacted like that. I used to play this game in my earlier years but no more really, but playing this game it's inevitable that you will face a cheater. And i played on the US west servers one of the better ones that are cheater free, but god forbid you go outside of the US servers and it gets F'ing horrible. The community has been voicing no screaming and hollering about their cheating situation. It's pretty clear that they don't play the game "just make new skins for shii guns!!!" is there ideas, oh and new events that are temporary. on top of all that they can't even be bothered to region lock or even GIVE you the option to region lock the specific server you are in. If and when you play this game only play during the new ahh events, because in my experience that's when they do band waves, BUT don't get your hopes up last time i played i've seen a cheater i have known for 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years i got his damn name in notepad, note this is a sensitive thing to mention because the last time i said his name on discord they gave me a strike! god forbid you even say their names, you got to treat it like the N word because ya on thin ice for speaking out man At the end of the day, this game is RNG because if you have insane skill that does not matter going into hunt there might be a weather and makes it night, foggy, or give you so much sun it's gonna burn your eyeballs out. So don't play this game competitively because the developers surely don't, just use a shotgun in a corner shii i've seen that way to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much (EDIT BCAUSE I FORGOT) the community is so toxic like rust toxic because if you are not like them you are below them, like just go look at my account's comments in my earlier years i was bad man
big big camper game nobody will ever move it gets worse in 6 star so the better u get the more campy the game gets

I started playing Hunt: Showdown right when it left its beta phase, convincing myself to buy it after a friend’s relentless recommendation. I will never forget those first 20-30 matches or the unmatched atmosphere: the "heavy silence" surrounding you, forcing you to listen to every single twig snapping; the pitch-black nights; and the constantly pulsing danger of players and monsters lurking in every shadow. It created an unforgettable, truly unique experience that set it apart from every other FPS on the market. Visually, what Crytek created with the CryEngine is nothing short of phenomenal. You get a truly cinematic experience, complemented by a minimal HUD and surprisingly solid performance. Sure, there are occasionally laggier periods especially right after major patches or new map releases but these issues usually get ironed out over time. Unfortunately, a few persistent bugs have plagued the game for a long time. I consider myself one of the lucky ones with over 500 hours, I’ve only encountered one maybe every 100 hours or so. But when they do happen, they really hurt. In a high-intensity match filled with adrenaline and action, it stings when the game essentially gives you the middle finger and leaves you completely helpless. It was never an easy game. Even back then, long ammo dominated, and players would gladly rat in bushes for hours. Yet, all of that was easily forgiven because everyone agreed that despite its flaws Hunt was a stroke of genius. A fundamentally fresh concept (I mean, cowboys and zombies? Sounds like a B category film premise, but Hunt made it work flawlessly). Fast forward a few years, and the game has drifted into a very different direction. Tarot cards, fast-firing weapons, "drone beetles"... Don’t get me wrong, I actually like some of these additions. For example magic was always subtly present, so things like tarot cards fit the lore and can be interesting mechanic. But somewhere along the way, the core soul felt a bit lost. Matches feel increasingly rushed and shifted away from hunting bosses or engaging in meaningful PvP to grinding through Battle Passes and getting rare skins. At its core, Hunt is still a brilliant, pioneering diamond in the rough. However, sometimes less is more IMO. Many of the mechanics and additions bloat the experience rather than genuinely improve it. I deeply miss the simplicity that once defined it (WHICH already came with a CRAZY steep learning curve). I don't necessarily blame the developers... it's a live-service game, and they have to sustain a business model. And it remains a deeply enjoyable game, BUT I think, it has been heading in the wrong direction for quite a while now. If you thinking of getting the game, at least do so on a sale, see if it clicks with you. Happy Hunting!!
Игра тупых крыс и читеров. Чтобы с кайфом играть в эту игру нужно покупать читы.
Never had less fun playing a game in my life. Crouch walking simulator, camping simulator, "Is he cheating?" simulator, "WHERE?!" simulator. By far, the most infuriating game I've ever played, which is a shame because there are no other online westerns (RDO doesn't exist). People nail you in the skull from half a mile away before you even have a chance to process what happened. Also this game is unbelievably toxic; people in VC constantly insulting each other, slurs all the time. I'm not a fan of extraction shooters, but I'd rather play Arc Raiders over this steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥.
