I was dissapointed with this game. It chews on certain facets of the human condition well. Characters are simple, statements are abstract and the gap between the two can only be filled by the autocompletion of a willing mind. Its evident that this is a quality game, I wouldn't have thought of how fishy the fish feels with each little hop and thud. The feel is perfect. I simply disagree with its approach to the poison of society. In the many things purposely left unsaid I can only assume that this game poses humility as the missing ingredient that weakens the foundation of social tribes (in cities or otherwise) and that seems small minded to me. It seems to disagree with a "woe is me" sort of mentality. "Many people have gone through this and you are not alone". The same misery provokes different emotions, coping mechanisms and breaks different limits for different people. Some poeple approach misery with far more questions than the average person is willing to consider but therein lies the circular logic. Its as if disagreeing at all makes you a self absorbed fool in the games view and you are a self absorbed fool because yyou disagree. "I lost my sister today. I don't understand what this feeling is made of, its in my body somewhere but whats it made of? I wanna see it more, I can see it better already as I talk about it" its as if the game wants you to expect comraderie and understanding to a significant degree if you say something like that to people in the face of loss. Some go to anger to cope, some grow numb, some get more talkative, the game wants you to believe that the tribes for all these factions and more are numbered in comparitive quantities. Furthermore it seems to imply that all these tribes get comparable ammounts of space, encouragement and discouragement which is not true. It also assumes that your approach to your miseries is as largely understood as anyone elses, that the knowledge pool one need to draw from to understand YOUR experience is the same as any other and is as prevalent as any other. I don't think the issue with fascism is a lack of humility, humility is what fascists prey on when they break the social contract over and over again. So I am dissapointed. I hope Mouthwashing is better than this. Still a game I am glad to have played, I see it as an exploration of a particular point of view.

Not entirely sure what I just played but I think I enjoyed it. It's less a "game" and more a weird little philosophical experience. I will add there is one part with really gross real world imagery with parasites and stuff, so I would not recommend it to anyone really squeamish, but it is all about fish, nothing with humans.
How Fish Is Made is an interesting thought provoking title about the reality of decisions, inevitability, and philosophy. The artstyle is unique and the story is enjoyable. Overall this is a good experience for 45 minutes and I would certainly recommend playing especially because its free and short.
UP is the only real choice.
Surreal experience, can't really put it into words, you have to embrace it yourself. I noticed this looked and felt eerily similar to Mouthwashing as I was "playing", later came to know it was indeed a prequel. First game I've seen a trypophobia warning and its legit.

I don't think I fully understood what message this game was trying to convey. That said, I really enjoyed its 3D visuals—they were beautiful and pleasant to look at. The gameplay itself is quite simple, and I feel like its meaning can be interpreted differently by each player. However, when I reached the ending, I started to doubt my own interpretation because it didn't seem to match what the game was trying to communicate. So I'm not really sure if I understood it the way the developers intended.
