"Hotel on the Grate" is some hot garbage slapped together lazily with Godot3D (and Godot's 3D engine, unlike the 2D one, is pretty good, so there's no exuse for the developer here). This is barely a game, it's short, it's bad, it's no mystery that it was a complete and utter failure. What do you do in the game? Barely a game, really, you negotiate a 3D "narrative" environment for about 15 minutes, look at some hideously bad assets and read some cringey high school literature class dropout writing. I'd rather play a Russian asset flip. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

A very short and weird but funny game I'm glad I found randomly. Crashed the first time I started it but worked great after that.
I like the game very much! It gave me really nice vibes and the design is good. I would be happy to see more games!

IT'S INTER-ACTIVE!
Whata trippy lil game! The green guys' dialog is so funny! Played this for May Mental health awareness, releasing it early for my members first, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7EXfN_P_i8 Loved the art style & unique characters, very well done. Wish it had steam achievements though. Thanks for the FTP game!
