Oh we gotta put the writers in an Outlast trial where we brutally saw off their limbs and dunk them in acid. sorry!
Haven't expected much of this game, to be honest. But the way it was written was really entertaining. The devs knew who'd play this game :'D Nice achievements, pretty easy to achieve, the only little downside would be the saving-mechnaic. The auto-save overwrites your manually chosen slot if you don't manually save to a different slot. That's no big issue, tho. What did annoy me a bit was that you can't go to the options to save when a choice pops up to save in order to click through the choices quickly and check out the reactions. I understand it's the proper way since this has an affection-system, so you're not exactly supposed to cheese your way through every single choice option. But I like checking out other options to see the immediate outcome before I click on what I would actually choose, even with minor choices that don't even affect anything because I like the characters' dynamics. Sometimes it's just hard to tell when a choice pops up to save beforehand. All in all, not that bothersome though.. holding the fast-forward button does the trick :) Most important, though... mommy huntress letme finish my life with you
this might've been actually kind of fun and funny is every other line wasn't something to the effect of "wow! isn't this game where you date the DBD killers so wacky and weird??!!!"
wraith sex scene shouldve been 2 hours
Meu deus cara como que termina esse jogo com alguem? to levando fora de gente morta
While I plan on doing other routes in the future to get the most out of this game and its DBD lore, I had fun with this first run. The art is stylized and pretty, the characters are fun, the writing is funny and breaks the fourth wall often, and it features actual info about the Killers you're so used to getting hunted down by in DBD. I wish individual routes could be a bit longer, or maybe they are and I just picked the shortest one, but the finale felt a bit abrupt. Still a funny game and on sale, it's worth playing if you're a fan of Dead by Daylight's characters. 7/10.
Вот в дбд тебя в переносном смысле трaxают, а тут...
my wife left me, but this game was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak
I didn't expect much considering the IP of the game, but thought it would make for a light and comedic time and plus Huntress is in it, so I figured it was worth it. It is not, this game is extremely draining and unfunny, the only enjoyment I get out of it is spending time with Huntress. Maybe i'll edit this review when I finish the game, but its just draining to play, like real DbD. The "narrator" of the game is not just the game telling you whats happening, its an active character in it, and its the most annoying character in the game. It does describe whats happening but its constantly giving its opinions and unfunny jokes and comments constantly to the point I started skipping its dialogue because it drones on and on uncomedically and I actually started missing what was happening because I tried to brush past it. The ocean is also a character which is like the equivalent of the god from DbD that controls everything, wanna know something totally fun and totally not mood killing? Forced choices, there is a segment of the game where it literally tells you "im in control, select this dialogue choice or I just end your game" and its true to its name if you defy it or try to be your own person you just get your game ended. There is minigames in this, which is whatever visual novels can have minigames, but its just the skill check minigame but it just gets ridiculously fast, it isn't hard just kinda doesn't do anything. This game also forces you into opinions you may or may not have, In most dating sims you dictate most of your opinions but this game will write a lot of forced perspective dialogue for you, making you say cringey untrue things you may not relate to or have ever said, and you just have to deal with how the game wants to portray you, and it doesn't entirely give you minimal dialogue so that you can act however you want, it forces you into a type of characterization you may not agree with. I know this is a lot to say with so little time put into the game, but at the end of the day from this playthrough this game is a droning pain to play, but I will anyways to get my ending with Huntress. Would not recommend, there are way better dating sims out there. Okay, I beat it, the game is still pretty awful, do not recommend, just glad they didnt pull some random sh*t at the ending, the only redeeming part is that they let you and your date end with true love and then the game ends.
