Graphics : Difficult to look at. Style is 'I'm bad at art, so I'm going to try to be worse at it.' Rules : Doesn't tell you, figure it out on your own. Glitches : At the very least, Bricklayer card doesn't work for the player. (I had Bricks in deck, but Bricklayer never worked... be they in deck, hand, or discard.) I confirmed that it was supposed to do something when an AI used it against me. Roguelike : Yes. If you lose, you start over. But then, progressing feels the same as starting over... win a match and pick new cards for the deck... but there is no rhyme or reason to any of it, that I can tell. Conclusion : I ended up using Alt+F4 to get out because I didn't want to continue trying to read descriptions that may or may not hold true... and the AI opponent doing crazy actions that I couldn't follow, until it decked itself out.
AVOID, IF you are bad or inexperienced at MTG or YuGiOh or other deep card game. It's free, works, is actually decent other than having no tutorial. You get used to the visuals. Knowing and owning better card games makes it hard to appreciate as worth my time but I also have enough knowledge to appreciate what the devs have done. Thumbs up.

it looks interesting, but the rules are really odd, ui is barely functional, really nothing is explained, you get what you pay for i guess. lots of potential though

Years ago my brother created many bizarre drawings just like this. There's a reason that video games aren't normally made with this art style...the brain just doesn't process it. I wasn't able to figure out how to play the actual card game. Not trying to disrespect the developers, I'm sure they've put a lot of effort into this. But the presentation needs work. Show the game to test subjects and record their first impressions and how they interface with the game. Or maybe I'm just not the target audience.
An enjoyable acid trip, if you can endure the visuals until you get used to them. The game also desperately needs a tutorial, so expect having to figure out yourself how the more obscure mechanics and keywords work. Definitely not for most people, but if you enjoy obscure card games this might be worth your time.

Its revolutionary, by FAR the best tcg ive ever played. MTG and PTCG are TRASH compared to this...MASTERPIECE, everything is PERFECT, the music, the art, the jokes, and the music is astounding. One of, if not the best games i have ever had the pleasure of playing.
Obviously hasn't been updated since 2022. No improvements since then like some of the reviews hoped for. You need to already be familiar enough with the original generation of Yugioh just to make assumptions for how the game is played, until you're finally able to understand how each of the keywords are meant to work. Otherwise, there's no tutorial and no way for you to keep up with what's going on other than trial and error. As you deck build and expand your deck, you need to keep a theme in mind. I dont think there's a way to edit your deck, so everything you collect stays in your deck until you lose. I'm assuming you start all over once you lose, but I haven't lost after several floors. Some deck themes are definitely better than others, but you should be fine as long as you don't spread the theme too far. Choosing the same card as one you've already chosen is probably just a skip reward, I don't think it does anything. Every card you get has 3 (or 4?) copies. All that said, the art and music are annoying. The music is clearly trying to resemble the Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advanced yugioh game music, but ends up doing so much that it just sounds bad. The urban graffiti artstyle is more repulsive than interesting, but it's easy enough to ignore the card art since they're overshadowed by the overly saturated gaudy background. The card power is unintuitive and probably isn't coded right to begin with. However, it doesn't make the game unplayable. You should need to figure out how to adapt and work around certain issues, if there are any technical issues. Unlike Yugioh, there is no defense position. No spells, traps, or rituals either. Fusions are handled through specified conditions. Concepts like tribute summoning or resource cost are nonexistent unless specified in the ability. There really is a lot of potential, but it would be more practical to make an entirely new game instead rather than build from this project. Criticisms aside, I'd recommend at least trying a few rounds yourself. Especially if you're a casual game designer so you can see what you might want to avoid.
