I followed the development for this game for quite sometime. I remember enjoying the little we got from the demo. The world and atmosphere had me hooked in the early portion of the game but after the sewers the game just kind of fell off hard. The end left me feeling like I had just wasted my time and most of the enjoyment was gone by the end. It was really disappointing. A game with a lot of potential, likely unintentionally squandered in the end due to poor story telling when there already is so little.
Game is okay-ish. Had a few dips in performance and bugs here and there. Had a hard time following the plot but the puzzle solving and survival horror aspects were pretty cool. Glad to see more and more indies bringing back the classic survival horror style of games.
Jogo muito bom
Hollowbody is a pretty decent old school horror game. You can definitely feel that it takes inspiration from the Silent Hill games. The game is very short and the combat is too easy. I wouldn't recommend buying at full price. However, if you're a fan of this genre of games then it's definitely worth checking out when it goes on sale.
this game ♥♥♥♥♥
Game feels way too much unpolished. Terrible camera gave me motion sickness and that's not something you would expect from a third person game.
Hollowbody really nails its creepy atmosphere, and that is the game’s biggest strength.
The atmosphere is amazing, and what I've played of this so far is terrifying. The story is also really interesting so far. The combat mechanics feel very weighty and tense, and I often find myself stomping on bodies way longer than I need to even though the UI is clear about when an enemy dies. One of the most terrifying moments I've experienced in a video game happened really early on, and the tension hasn't let up. The only downside to the game in the almost 3 hours that I've played is that, during the intro level on the beach, the game froze and jolted every time a new voice line loaded. Changing the v-sync settings fixed it, but because it was the very first thing that happened after starting the game, it had me really worried that this wasn't going to be playable. I'll update the review when I finish the game, but so far it's really good.
