not really as difficult as it's been made out to be, especially with the most egregious offenders (2-damage environment hazards) having been removed. would strongly recommend playing hollow knight before this though since the skill curve starts a good bit higher and silksong will feel like a more novel game for the way it modifies mechanics (and therefore combat design, pacing and strategy etc) and environmental presentation - which i enjoyed imo live orchestration was a good choice for this game; the soundtrack sounds great and the sound design is generally solid. it conveys tone well but i feel as if certain tracks lack an iconic character (though hollow knight was also not exempt from this). nevertheless it's well-fitting narratively it also takes a more forward approach than hollow knight. i thought it was serviceable (not anything to write home about but it does cohere well with mechanical gameplay rather than feeling extraneous, so it's good to have) generally feels like a good development on ideas from hollow knight
This is fun and challenging, just beat Lost Lace and it was the most difficult thing ive done in a metroidvania so far. I question the sanity of the people who try, and can do, this game either on 1 life or hitless
muito legal, divertido interessante, trilha sonora boa
Mecanicas y gameplay impecable, mejor logrado que el primer juego. La escritura es algo que se aprecia mucho, recomendado mal (corre hasta en un intel uhd graphics)
good
It's the same fun storytelling with gothic bugs, but the gameplay has a somewhat altered rhythm. Hollow Knight felt like it was more about fast, precise responses. Battles were largely singular, and combat flows smoothest once you know how to react to various patterns. Once you've got those down, you can be swift and get in damage. With Silksong, they definitely went out of their way to alter the cadence of the fights. There's still that basic DNA where you check patterns and retaliate, but bosses tend to have more adds and projectiles - moves that deny space and force you to be more mindful of your positioning. Attacks are also a bit more subdued - not as mash-heavy, but with a steady rhythm - which might tie into the musical themes of the game. Where the Knight was like fighting like a wild animal, Silksong is more measured. Some of the restraints may feel heavy, though - like down attack going diagonal and healing requiring a full charge before it can be used. If you try to play with the same recklessness of Hollow Knight, you'll likely get punished until you grasp the difference. Still a great game, though. And a great sequel.
GOODGOOD
Silksong. 9.5/10. I didnt think it was able to surpass Hollow Knight. I just finished the game at 91% completion. I am blown away by the game as a whole. Really love the atmosphere, the world in this game are way way better than the Hollow Knight in my opinion. It feels more alive in Silksong. And I love the side quests in the game which was neatly made. Graphics are so pretty and beautiful. Not to mention, the story are much clearer than Hollow Knight. Combats are so satisfying and rewarding. It does have the difficulty spike during the early game. I did took it slow.. adapting and learning enemies pattern to pass the sections Im having trouble with. Well, I'm a casual gamer which only experience metroidvania genre through HK and HK:Silksong, and never play souls-like game in my life, it took me so much time on a boss (can lead up to 4 hours of retries)... but after I defeated them, it felt so rewarding!!! Exploration was so fun to do. So many secret passages throughout the world. Different area comes with their own vibes and characters and atmospheres plus scenery that can make me feel like Im being absorbed into the Silksong world. Just perfect. Thank you TEAM CHERRY! This was such an experience that I will always remember. I hope that there will be another HK game in the future.
одна стальная душа за 4 часа, и я который радовался этому час
The perfect game that pushes you to "git gud". Beautiful world with great characters, good story telling and great bosses and combat.
