good

A good series but this one is a bit dated and clunky for the modern day. Mediocre graphics, few options and clunky controls.

Hitman: Blood Money is another absolute gem from the mid-2000s that stands as a high-water mark for the stealth genre, reminding me of just how incredibly good we had it back then. Playing this alongside other classics from that golden era, like Tomb Raider: Legend & Anniversary, and the chaotic fun of Just Cause 1 and 2, really highlights a time when games felt distinct, confident, and packed with personality. The plot of Blood Money follows the cold, calculated Agent 47 as he navigates a deadly game of chess against a rival contract agency known as the Franchise. Told through a series of tense flashbacks during an interview with a former FBI director, the narrative weaves a dark, cynical tale of corporate espionage and political assassination that culminates in one of the most unforgettable and clever endings in gaming history. The gameplay is where the title truly shines, offering an unparalleled sandbox experience that rewards creativity and patience over mindless action. Each mission drops you into a richly detailed, open-ended level, ranging from a crowded Mardi Gras festival to a seemingly quiet suburban neighborhood, and tasks you with eliminating your targets by any means necessary. The brilliance lies in the disguise system, which allows you to blend into your surroundings, and the accident mechanic, letting you orchestrate seemingly random fatalities like poisoning a drink, rigging a chandelier to fall, or pushing a target over a balcony. Managing your notoriety and upgrading your custom weaponry between missions adds a satisfying layer of strategy to the core loop. Looking back, I deeply wish I had played this as a kid, because I am certain I would have ended up completely obsessed with it. Coming to it later in life, I appreciate its masterful design, dark atmosphere, and incredible mechanics immensely, but I can't quite say I was able to fully 'bond' with it the way I might have with a heavy dose of childhood nostalgia. Still, for anyone looking to experience the peak era of social stealth gaming, this is a masterpiece that demands to be played.
