Still goated! Didn't expect Kane and Lynch had a cameo.

Assuming you're familiar with the Hitman franchise, Absolution is an unintentional climax to the story. Most of it has been retconned with the soft reboot of "World Of Assassination", which is absolutely fine. It's a fantastic game. It introduced a lot of new features which later made it into WOA. It runs incredibly smoothly, and still holds up visually today. Main advice, however, is to not play this game as a "Hitman" game. In this game 47 is the prey, with his own targets and personal vendettas. Try to ignore all scoring if you can and play it was chaotically as you wish. In Absolution 47 isn't a Hitman anymore, he's a survivor. Very fun for a change of pace!
