Historical Fashion Dress Up

Won this in a silly little bet. Reminds me of the dress up games i played as a teenager. enjoyed it a lot :) there should be more dress up games on steam.

Wonderful dress up game! Lots of options that you can alter colours on, pretty art-style, historically accurate, both men and women, and they add new eras frequently!

This game is very cosy and highly nostalgic for someone who grew up with paperdoll/dress up game-websites, and perfect for historical fashion-lovers of all ages! The fact that the clothing, hair and accesories in the game are based on actual historical garnments found in museums and paintings etc. makes it feel very autentic and special, and its clear that the design-team have poured a lot of research and love into creating it. My only "complaint" about the game is that I wish there was more to play with, more historical eras and more clothing/accessories to choose from, but I understand that more is being added over time, so I'm exited to see!

Very cozy and sweet little game. Never been much of a book learner, so this sort of visual medium is perfect for learning about period specific fashion trends, an interesting topic in of itself, but made even more so through the game's lovely style and presentation.

Relaxing and fun especially if you like dress up games. I am not a huge history person but have enjoyed seeing the different types of fashion. They plan to add more fashion packs from different periods in future updates. Currently there are 2 packs for 1680 and 1820.

I love historical garments, so this is a fun game for me. I'm actually playing it on my Steam Deck. It didn't show if it was compatible, but it is! You just have to figure out the actions on the controller. I'm looking forward to printing out some paper dolls.

Caveat: You need to have some interest in fashion or historical fashion or paper dolls or "period dramas" to get something out of this experience. On the whole yes this is a historical paper doll toy, and the outfits you can make are surprisingly fun to create, revealing to you the madness of early 19th century embellishments of women's clothing. Nitpickings: I wish the menus were more clear to navigate (especially the "don't quit if your game is not saved" or something popping up is confusing 10 seconds after I just saved, and the saving isn't entirely intuitive). The font the game uses is not entirely ideal for the kind of dyslexia I have (similar shapes of letters makes words difficult to read) and I'd wished there was a serif alternative which would have suited the historical setting as well. Would also be good for the game's marketing if you could take GUIless screenshots for Steam of the scenes, now the buttons cover almost half of the view of your outfit and the surroundings (Steam share is where the screenshots are shared - not from users' PCs files on C.) But I'm really, really, really looking forward to the 1780s fashion pack!
