You have a spaceship ship full of robots, a drone and a planet to sabotage for the safety of the solar system. Highblast is a game about an agency protecting a solar system from a greedy civilisation.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

As the voice actor for Cakebot, I can assure you this game is 100% the best game in existence since the invention of the grappling hook. The devs work very hard on it, and I cannot wait for the continuation of both Highblast and its extensive lore (which could be compared to the works of William Shakespeare — except less boring). With graphics that make me grateful to have eyes and music that makes me grateful to have ears, I applaud the devs for creating the game that changed my life forever.
Before I played HIGHBLAST, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
"HIGHBLAST" is an incomplete amateur game made using Godot's 3D engine (it's ok, the 2D engine is garbage). It was a dismal failure on Steam Direct. What do you do in the game? This is an FPS/adventure game. The idea is that you have a bunch of robots that you can upgrade, and you land on a planet with your space rocket and inflitrate a base to sabotage it to stop greedy enemies from ruining all the nice things we love about outer space. This is accomplished through wandering through some laughably badly made environments and doing some pretty weak first person shooting. Despite not being in Early Access, it's obvious this is an incomplete product. Developers have an obligation to deliver complete, not partially done products to gamers, that shouldn't be controversial. Whatever the excuses may be, it does no service to gamers for incomplete products polluting Steam like this. It makes it harder for gamers to find complete games, and it makes it harder for ethical developers who do the right thing to find their audience. Even though the game looks pretty bad (and decent visuals are a minimum requirement for any game), we can be fairly sure this is not an asset flip. This is because the game assets look so bad, no self respecting asset creator would publish them. That's a fail. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets of any level of quality usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Even as a free product, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 5 users, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time with this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options. There are over 140,000 games on Steam, not every one of them is a hidden gem. I'm here to help gamers find the ones that actually matter in that sea of Steam Direct self-published mess. If you don't agree with my findings in this review, you should definitely download it and play it to see for yourself. I'm happy to have helped you make an informed choice, regardless of the outcome.
