As the rank 1 HexTD player in the world, my word is law. The game is fun and challenging, with stages that contain multiple spawn points and unexpected shapes. When I started my gameplay the only turrets that were out were the Mecha. Starcraft-like APM is necessary to play them, which separates the wheat from the chaff when it comes to the players' skills. More recently, the Elementals have been added which require lower APM, but more creative combinations of different turrets. The downsides are the presence of a lot of RNG in the Mecha turrets, which decrease the influence of skill to increase the influence of luck. Also, there are balancing issues that are still to be adressed. The more recent patches seem to have started dealing with that. Thus spake the Rank 1 HexTD Player in the World.
HextD is simply amazing! The visuals are breathtaking and the gameplay is addictive. Each battle is a unique strategic challenge, and I'm constantly discovering new ways to win. The community is super engaged, and the developers are always bringing in fresh updates. If you love tower defense games, don't miss out on HextD. It's a genuine and thrilling experience that will keep you hooked for hours.
A little too complicated, worth 5$? Eh.. maybe. Not a horrible game but it's just a lot to take in at once
A MUST HAVE for TD fans. Despite being a little rough around the edges, this procedurally generated TD game is quite addictive on its own and, I'm quite sure, will dominate Steam libraries after some polish and refinement. Thoroughly recommended.
Too buggy, especially in co-op. It will generate the map off-center, which results in you being almost entirely unable to interact with the map, properly.
Cool new view on the TD genre. Chill game with good potential
Mt Poggers, Recomendo!
Seems to be early access, but I dont see any early access comments on the store page. Not a lot of content right now, just one race with one tower. You can upgrade the towers abilities over time, but quickly run out of anything to use gold on. The maps and random elements are very interesting. Seems promising, but I dont think its ready for a recommend.
