About
DESIGN: Build factories, ship cubes, and make machines dance to your industrial choreography.
REWIND: Refine your solution by rewinding the factory and replaying the action to spot potential improvements.
OPTIMIZE: Compete for peak efficiency with your friends and the world.
CREATE: Build and share your own puzzles with the built-in editor.
Cubes have become the galaxy’s most important commodity, being used as crates, musical instruments, octopus housing, sculptures, and more. Use your cube-designing skills to keep a struggling factory running, and eventually earn a post at the most prestigious cube fabricator, Hexahedra Inc. Dig into rumours that some cubes are being used for sinister purposes, and field an array of oddly aquatic requests received on damp paper in strange ink.
Hexahedra is an open-ended programming puzzle game. Fill a factory with a variety of devices and program them to work together to produce the required cubes. Use the grid command system to create complex loops, and branch the logic flow using lasers and proximity sensors. Pull apart and reassemble cubes, merge them, paint them, teleport them, set fire to them, add payloads, and ship them off to the customer.
Grab the timeline handle and crank time backwards to see the state of the factory in the past. Replay past steps and spot where a solution has a bug or could be made more efficient.
Compete against your friends and the rest of the world to produce the quickest or simplest solution to each puzzle.
Build your own puzzles using Hexahedra's built-in level editor and share them with friends or via the Steam Workshop.
Cubes have become the galaxy's most important commodity, a fact that some intend to exploit to their own advantage. Track down the conspiracy, infiltrate it, and bring it down. Or don't, and take your place amongst the new rulers.

Fun and challenging puzzles. I am enjoying trying to come up with better solutions.
The Zachtronics vibes are strong with this one - the same stats with multiple directions of optimisation for each level are present. And I think that's a good thing - it remains just as good a design as it was for them, giving plenty of desire to go back to previous levels and replay them with different goals in mind. Enough so that I haven't really pushed as deeply into the campaign as I'd like yet, because I'm still getting too much out of the earlier levels! The interface is clean, and the tutorial solid - it was easy to understand what was going and how to program it. The 2-dimensional programming space - build your own loops! - looks innovative and likely to create some very interesting options and restrictions when it comes to solving more complex levels, too. Overall, I'm having great fun so far. Thoroughly recommended!
(Note, I was a kickstarter backer and playtester for this game, hence the low playtime at time of review) If you miss the shutdown of Zachtronics like the rest of us, this game really scratches the itch. Similar, but refreshingly different to Human Resource Machine, this game is definitely a fun puzzle game that you can spend hours chasing optimisation, realising it's 3am and you have work in the morning. Also.... I should probably buy a new notepad, I filled mine with sketches of cubes in different orientations, oops.
Like all the best puzzle games, you'll be thinking about this while you're not playing. You'll be rotating cubes in your head when you should be paying attention to other things that are perhaps more essential to a happy life. Perhaps. The constraints placed on your factory due to the positioning of elements and the space available to enter commands will force you to find efficient solutions, though it might take you a while to get there. The satisfaction of completing a level or matching a record when you couldn't initially see how to is fantastic. The story is fun, the interface is slick and the gameplay solid. Anyone who enjoys Zachtronics games is sure to enjoy Hexahedra. Ticking the box as I didn't pay for the game, but I won it in a competition. Would happily have paid for it if I hadn't done!
It's a great game so far, I'm really enjoying coming up with solutions to the various cube-shaped problems and then pushing it to see just how efficiently they can be produced. Can be challenging, but very rewarding. I'm not sure I've had to draw so many cubes before
This is a great puzzler with the added bonus of getting to play with factory optimisation to solve puzzle in even better ways. My only criticism is the first few tutorial levels are a bit of a slow experience and could use a bit more pacing with some low level puzzles in between to enjoy. Stick it out, once past that early section it really becomes great and the levels quickly become very fun challenges you'll want to play.
HexaHedra is an awesome puzzle game reminding me of Zachtronics's Infinifactory. The compact levels force you to think "inside the box" ;D for optimizations. The rewind feature is fantastic for refining solutions and really following along what is happening. Competing for peak efficiency with friends and the global community makes me want to replay each level over and over again to find a better solution. A must-play for puzzle enthusiasts!
A fun puzzle game that is similar to the Zachtronics style puzzle games with some interesting new ideas. Nice and simple to start with but keeps things interesting by quickly adding new complexities as the story progresses.
I first started the demo with confidence, the game on boards you really well and gradually steps up in difficulty to become a clever brain teaser. Then the last level of the demo came along and gave me PTSD but I kept coming back determined to crack it! :D I finally smashed it and I was hooked bought the full game instantly! Would recommend for all those who want to rage quit claiming "it's impossible!" only to come back and get addicted to solving these puzzles :)
