Heroes Must Die

This game is great in that it's one of a kind; the gameplay, I've never seen before, I'm new to continuous attack games. And it really is pretty funny, like a couple outer referencesto the future or other games. There's a lot of reading to do, so beware ignorant peers.

If you enjoy playing RPG's, especially the ones of old, then as a random, wandering adventurer, I implore you to play this. It's not the longest game, but that is more IN it's favor than not, as it does a great job of making you laugh, while keeping you entertained with it's mix of references, jokes, and (stratetgic) battles. I say stratetgic battles as this: 1. In your attack phase, connect as many foes in your 5 slide movement as you can, while keeping a similar combo, such as RED to RED or MAGE to MAGE. Each attack that follows this suit adds to your combo meter, causing the last foes in the chain to take quite a beating if your chain is 3 (2 damage) or at 6 (4 damage). Chaining is the only way to damage bosses. If you wipe out ALL the enemies in a single sweep (in that wave), the next wave appears, but does not get to attack. 2. In your Defense phase, all your enemies gang up on you, and you die. Unless you "casually cheat" and quickly memorize where they're about to hit, and dodge out of the way by hitting the correct "DODGE" panel(s). They attack in turn, with two moves being shown one after the other. So long as you pay attention (and have preschooler-level mouse moving skills), you'll have little issue with your evades. Every foe of a given type (grunt, heavy, mage, ect.) uses the same attack patterns, making it all the more of a "DOH" when you mess up a simple dodge, or forget what panels the archer is about to hit. Outside of bosses, the most hp something can have is 4 (like you, for example). With a bit of quick thinking, a good 90% of the battles can be dealt with, without taking any risk of being hurt. For the LOW, LOW PRICE OF FREE.... Wait, why are you still here? Get out there and enjoy this game!

Fun gameplay, silly characters. Great for a short free game. Gameplay is unique although combat can get repetitive and the only way to save is through an auto-save which can be inconvenient when a battle lasts long. But overall very great game 8/10

This free RPG punches above its weight with hilarious dialogue, standout music, and innovative combat. This game satirizes early JRPGs. Occasionally those games would lampshade their own quirks, and I want to be clear that this game goes way beyond that. Basically every line of dialogue (from main characters to random townspeople) is story-relevant, funny, or both. The dialogue is the essential distinguishing element of the game. The music is uniformly excellent- much better than should realistically be expected of a free game. The combat system dispenses with common character-levelling mechanics and adopts a puzzle-like system in which success and failure rest on the player's skill alone. There's no XP or treasure to grind for, but you may need to practice combat to get past some challenging boss fights.

Perfecto para pasar el rato, facil de jugar (Cerveza en la mano, y matando enemigos, mira que bien xD), tematica muy buena, y sobretodo cantidad de chistes malos. Calidad grafica adecuada para lo poco que pesa, tiene buenos dibujos, la musica está bastante bien, ademas de poder descargarse en una pagina (pasate el juego y te dicen xD) Es un juego perfecto para añadir a tu biblioteca, especialmente cuando es gratis xD, y para pasar un buen rato. Lo unico malo es si no sabes ingles, no pillas de que va el tema, por lo demas, está genial. OK, english users will love this free game, filled with puns and subtile jokes about other games, is easy to play and really dynamic (A game where I can hold my beer while killing guys in combos, is awesome xD). If you wanna have a good time with a free game with some quality this is your game.

จริงๆ เนื้อเรื่องมันก็ OK นะ แต่สิ่งที่ทำให้เราไม่สามารถเล่นต่อไปได้คือ เกมนี้"ไม่มีระบบ Save กับ ระบบการเล่นในฉากต่อสู้ของเกมนี้ รวมถึงฉากบางฉากที่ดูแล้วเหมือนจะหลุดขอบออกไปเลย หัวใจสำคัญของเกม RPG คือ ระบบ เซฟนะ แต่อันนี้ไม่มี ก็แทบทำให้เราไม่ค่อยอยากจะเล่นแล้ว Score 5/10
