No idea how to feel anymore. feels like their priorities are all messed up. sweet words with minimum delivery. they will patch things that benefit player asap but leave long standing bugs in until there is a community uproar. the game-play is overall fun and engaging, but things that used to seem to cool just faded with time. it used to feel like D&D storytelling with player agency but now it feels like D&D storytelling with more railroading and restrictions. the devs are constantly at odds with the player base and building a divided fanbase. playing your favorite faction actively detracts from the war effort. Some MOs are just not fun or engaging at all and leaves you wanting to do literally anything else. why are the mission rewards, MO rewards, Optional/side MO rewards, personal order rewards all the same?? If they are going to be the same why would you cap it at 250? not even enough to not grind out a new warbond. now they are locking stratagem content behind FOMO. literally the worst kind of FOMO. I used to want to hop on for the events and get the cape to be like "I was there". now i hardly want to hop B/C now it feels like i am being punished for not having all the free time in the world and losing out on new content. honestly, they should just swap to a free to play model at this point. the game is still $40 and the warbonds are $169.23 in total. The SC farm actively discourages you from doing it. so to those that say "you can just grind SC" I retort with i can just have fun grinding a game that rewards me for actually playing it. not running around doing a mindless chore for hours while not having fun. because SC farming is boring beyond belief. There is so much potential for this game and yet it constantly squandered. the potential keeps me coming back in hope only for the next story arc to fall flat and to see the same unfixed problems. No galactic war tutorial Galactic war information outsourced to 3rd party apps repetitive missions backhanded buffs gamecrashing bugs "fixing" SC farming but not the new terminal on the ship is crazy broken in game voice chat The tool bags on the tank being unarmored cosmetics that destroy the tank bouncing strat balls uncontrollable hellpods inconsistent mantling (cause in a mil sim game why would you ever want the high ground???) Discord being the only means to get information from the devs inconsistent player outreach excessive ragdoll the same missions over and over and over again sparse updates to enemy types or variants even people who love this game are falling off and playing less. It is one part burnout and one part being tired of the broken dev centered game loop. I hope this game makes a no mans sky comeback but i dunno if the devs have it in them to set their ego aside and stop reaching for our wallets to just make a fun game where buying the latest content isnt the priority. if i wanted that the shovel money away i would play an EA or Ubisoft title.
