A very well balanced mix of tactical gameplay and FPS gunplay. HLL can be a difficult game to understand, which unfortunately I think is a big barrier for the game. A lot of HLL's issues can be staked on the playerbase. It's like playing League of Legends at bronze vs emerald+ ranks. The game is just so much more different. I think to truly appreciate the game one needs a strong foundation in the game's mechanics. When both teams know what they're doing and a when game can be decided by out-maneuvering and flanking is where the game really shines. I won't forget seeing the enemy team coordinate a smoke screen across a field with a Panther pushing across to suppress us defenders while multiple infantry squads pushed. I've had a lot of great moments like that, but it's only possible when people make a solid attempt to work together and communicate. A lot of the complaints about the game being running simulator and not knowing where the enemy are getting shot at are missing the big mechanics of HLL. A person can read the map and see the invisible frontline where the enemies are at. And A proper Squad Leader should be marking on the map and pointing the squad where to look and prepare to fight the enemy. It's also extremely important for grunts to let the squad leader know where infantry or armor is at. So they can also spread the information. Once enemy spawn points are located it starts making more sense. Anyway, a pretty fun game all things considered :)
first off, I've never bought a single CoD, matter of fact i never even really played FPS before this game. I was a dedicated WoW/Dark Souls player for over a decade and then one day my friend shows me a clip of HLL and told me it was on sale... Now almost 700hrs later and nearly 50% of the achievements completed I'm still only level 147 out of 500... This game is immaculate, a true strategy centric large scale team based FPS whereas my knowledge of the game is still constantly growing. Sure you can be a no-mic chud and still have fun in this game, but truly HLL shines when the whole team is in sync. Communication is key. Teamwork is in fact the dreamwork when it comes to HLL. Unforgivingly challenging at times, nevertheless i am still fully immersed laughing like a mad man behind the barrel of Sherman 76 or flanking the enemy point with a GOATED outpost. Worth every penny, 10/10, no regrets, cant wait for HLL:Vietnam Cheers all!

Auch wenn es durchseucht ist von Rechten und Neo Nazis, die sich an dem Szenario ergötzen, ist dieses Spiel ein großartiges Erlebnis, wenn man auf den richtigen Servern unterwegs ist! Cheers and always stay Antifascist!
its enough balance between realistic and Fantasy
