Great game. Completed a run on normal difficulty in 20 minutes. 25 to 30 minutes seems to be the norm for a full round. Art style 10 of 10. I really love its spooky pixelart style.
A game which very much reminds me of a classic arcade experience. While I have only played it with mouse and keyboard, it feels like it would be quite comfortable with a controller. The runs are not too long at ~30 minutes or shorter if you are "better" at the game. The variety of game mechanics during playtime is refreshing. I personally enjoy switching between various weapons and just winging it, or rerolling all my gems to upgrade the bow as high as possible and abusing it to focus completely on bosses when they spawn. The way an upgrade always comes with a downgrade at the same time, makes it quite interesting to think about your current build, and gives you the chance to choose up-&downgrades that fit your playstyle best. While it isn't in early access, I am happy that the developer seems intent to keep working on the game, and I am looking forward to the unlockables and features that will be added in the future.
The game is decent enough, Cool idea but it could have been done better. There are almost no synergies, would like to see an overhaul of the games upgrade system but that might be too much work. Hope to see more from the dev
Hate Me Not is a surprisingly fun game from a new indie developer. It features roguelite elements and plenty of charm. The visuals are simple but captivating, and the audio fits perfectly without ever feeling out of place. The gameplay mechanics are satisfying and offer a good challenge. I really enjoyed my time with this game and recommend everyone give it a shot. It's evident that a lot of love went into this project, and it truly deserves more recognition!
White and Black had no meaning, they were already all mixed together and were gray.
I highly recommend Hate Me Not to anyone who enjoys indie top-down shooter games. The variety of weapons and enemies keeps each run interesting, and the balance between the white and black areas creates a well-designed difficulty curve. The pixel art is visually appealing, and the roguelike mechanics ensure each playthrough feels fresh and rewarding. W game W devs. Good luck on your future updates!
Fun, small game with lovely monochromatic visuals. There is just enough variety in enemies and weapons to hold my attention. Combine that with the overall rather relaxing pacing and short length of a single run and I find myself going back for another quick session. And another. All things considered, it is a very pleasant experience.
Way too bare-bones.
love the style of the game not played for that long but i always judge games like this based on the meta (replay value) and there is no meta here basically so there is that. but game plays good not sure about the replay value though.
Black & white graphic composition is perfect for this game. The pixel arts stole my heart. The variety of weapons and monsters is very satisfying, which means you can spend a lot of time to know them all. You can see that the authors put a lot of heart into this game. Fun and pleasant with some challenges. Everyone who loves shooting games should try it~
