The residents of Fortune's Hollow, once united around the magic that made the town prosperous, have long since been isolated from each other by infighting and misfortune. For the treasure-hunting raccoon Finnegan, this is a chance to claim an unguarded bounty. But will his ambition survive his encounter with the desolate townsfolk and the noble minstrel who is intent on aiding them?
