Good management simulation. Like the idea with getting fired in case I can't fulfill the targets from management. If you like sports games you will love this one for sure.
I was really happy to see that gamen on steam but it turend out to be a bead verion of the orignal game that came out in 2008
Handball Manager - TEAM is a niche sports management simulation that brings the structure and decision-making of traditional management titles into the relatively underrepresented world of professional handball. Developed by UniqueGames, Greencode, and Raylight S.R.L., it gives players control over nearly every aspect of a club, from tactical decisions on the court to long-term financial planning behind the scenes. The ambition is clear: to replicate the depth of established management sims while carving out a space for a sport that rarely receives this level of attention in gaming. The gameplay centers on running a handball team across multiple seasons, with responsibilities that extend far beyond matchday tactics. Players must build and maintain a competitive roster, balancing player development, transfers, and contracts while also keeping an eye on morale and fitness. Training systems allow for gradual improvement of individual players, encouraging a long-term approach rather than short-term fixes. At the same time, financial management plays a significant role, requiring careful budgeting, sponsorship negotiation, and investment in facilities to ensure the club’s sustainability. This combination of systems creates a layered experience where success is determined by both strategic planning and day-to-day decision-making. Match simulation offers several viewing options, ranging from quick text-based results to a more immersive 3D representation. The inclusion of multiple modes gives players flexibility in how they engage with matches, whether they prefer to focus on management or watch games unfold in real time. The 3D simulation adds a visual dimension to tactical decisions, but it remains relatively basic, functioning more as a representation of outcomes than a fully detailed recreation of the sport. While it enhances immersion to a degree, it does not reach the level of polish or realism seen in larger sports titles. Where the game finds its strength is in its overall management framework. The systems governing player growth, staff roles, and club development provide a solid foundation for long-term progression. Players must think beyond individual matches, considering how decisions made in one season will affect performance in the next. Objectives set by the club’s management add an extra layer of pressure, ensuring that success is measured not only by personal goals but also by external expectations. This structure gives the game a sense of purpose, as each decision contributes to the broader trajectory of the team. However, the experience is not without its shortcomings. The interface, while functional, can feel outdated and occasionally cumbersome, making navigation less intuitive than it should be. Important information is sometimes buried within menus, requiring extra effort to access and interpret. In addition, certain systems lack the depth found in more established management games, particularly when it comes to detailed analytics and player interaction. These limitations can make the experience feel less comprehensive, especially for players accustomed to more refined titles in the genre. Accessibility is another area where the game presents challenges. For newcomers, the number of systems and responsibilities can be overwhelming, even with the inclusion of automated assistance features. At the same time, experienced players may find that the mechanics do not offer enough complexity to remain engaging over extended periods. This creates a somewhat uneven balance, where the game sits between being approachable and being deeply strategic without fully committing to either. Visually, the game reflects its modest scope. The match simulations and overall presentation are serviceable but lack the detail and fluidity expected from modern sports simulations. While this does not significantly impact the core management experience, it does affect immersion, particularly for players who value presentation alongside gameplay. Sound design is similarly understated, providing basic feedback without adding much atmosphere. Despite these issues, Handball Manager - TEAM manages to deliver a solid and functional simulation for its intended audience. Its greatest strength lies in its focus on a sport that is rarely explored in this genre, offering fans of handball a chance to engage with it in a meaningful way. The combination of tactical planning, financial management, and team development creates a satisfying loop, even if it lacks the polish of larger titles. In the end, the game stands as a commendable effort to bring depth and structure to a niche area of sports gaming. It may not reach the level of refinement seen in more established management sims, but it provides enough substance to be engaging for those willing to invest time in its systems. For fans of handball or players interested in exploring a different kind of sports management experience, it offers a worthwhile, if imperfect, alternative. Rating: 7/10
works on steam deck
Manager sieht allgemein sehr gut und umfangreich aus. Was fehlt ist ein Mp3 Abspieler und ein Editor. Auch die Auflösung passt nicht in die heute Zeit. Ansonsten sieht das sehr gut aus
The game crashes when I substitute the goal keeper
