Half-Life: Alyx

kind of boring and repetitive, it feels like i would be having a lot more fun if reloading wasnt a 3 step process, finding items didnt require so much effort, going through a door didnt require me grabbing each wood plank and moving it. its like main focus is grabbing stuff but i can already do that in other games. when youre not moving ultra slow and picking up boxes youre listening to the characters yap. also its kind of making me feel sick

I don't typically leave reviews but because of how great this was, i feel compelled to leave one. Quick technical side note: If you plan to play this with a meta quest 3 linked to your PC, if you're going to play it over WIFI then download virtual desktop from the meta store, i had nothing but grief and technical difficulties with meta and steams software but the virtual desktop software worked flawlessly. Also turn off Rivatuner and any framerate limits before playing. This is the best VR experience I have had so far. Very immersive and engaging, especially when you get fully to grips with the mechanics, it is very addictive. I enjoyed the story a lot, unfortunately for me I accidently watched a spoiler on YouTube while I was going down a Half-Life rabbit hole but none the less it was a great time. Well worth the investment, ESPECIALLY if you manage to get it on sale, but if you don't you wont feel hard done by. Solid 9/10 for me.
