this game is communists saying "agree with me completely or I will break into your house and beat you to death." my best playthrough im pretty sure 90% of humanity died and thats the only reason they didnt mob me, its slow, its repetitive, its a blatant lie, i cant transition to regenerative agriculture in any timely matter, bio dome 3 has no worthwhile continuing tech tree, algae bio reactors are evil, all fossil fuels are evil, making people hate you is meta, if you arnt a vegan misandrist and antinatalist the game dev wants you dead. its not just blatant propaganda its counterproductive blatant propaganda.
The UI is horrible to use

If you like socialism and environmentalism and want an excuse to look at some interesting future techs, this is pretty fun. It's a bit restrictive in what will allow you a wincon but you'll get the idea pretty quickly. It's hopelessly optimistic, and proudly so. In a world where there's all sorts of "realistic" political simulators that only show off a very limited- capitalist, Liberal reformist- approach to a better world, it's nice to enjoy something that says, "what if we actually went full throated for making the world better, and didn't have to let the established Political Consensus tell us what's possible?" I liked it.
Great game, fairly well researched, and it was more difficult than I expected, but I really enjoyed it.
Gave me quite a cortisol spike :p Great game, bit hard but that makes beating it so much more worth it
First of all, the book is great, a truly academic work, the only negative, broadly, is too much central planning in the utopia (although indeed I realize that it is utopia after all) Would certainly want further gameplay! I would propose the following: -Space expansion (to lesser extent, since of course primary focus should be spreading awareness of current politics) -The fight for the establishment of global eco-socialist gvt in first place (a very arduous project, but would raise awareness more, game will more motivate for change as it will feel more connected to our reality) -More economically focused, the need to expand production in big industries as population growth and/or super computer expansion for more allowed effective central planning as an example. -The AI data centers (book was written before such vast progression of AI, nevertheless this will make game more realistic) -Emphasize more the conflict of the rewilding and building new eco infrastructure in the more regional sense -Show specifically how individuals reduce their lavish lifestyles in the West (2000 Watts proposal to be underlined as an ex.) and how lives change at the individuals' level in the Global South Thank you for such wonderful interactive way to reinforce book's point!
this game does not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work. no matter what you do in the first turn, your emissions spike and they keep going up even when you fully divest from fossil fuels for both electricity and fuel. it's currently unwinnable because it is horribly bugged.
Buenisimo
nice
