The original Hades is the most complete game that I have ever played.
While Hades II does not quite live up to that, with weaker characters, story, and worldbuilding, Supergiant has improved on the already great combat system and the power system. The enemy variety has increased, and the art is even more beautiful.

The (credits) ending did not resonate with me as much as the first one, but such is the fate of the sequel :D
Great game with great characters and a boat-load of content.
One gripe: can't invite Artemis to the hot springs, but I rather not get turned into a deer and hunted down by dogs, so I guess it's fine

Above and beyond, yes.
The gameplay is stellar, it runs super well on any device I tried it on (no I haven't tried a toaster yet but that might be in the works.)
Story is well done and innovates on the 1st games mechanics without alienating people who played the first game.
Definite recommendation.

This isn't even a question, if you love rougelikes you HAVE to try this (along with first game). Literally hades 1 on steroids, got me into this genre so much. It was worth maxing both games :D

This is THE sequel of sequels. It has everything the first game had but just so much better and so much more smooth. If you loved Hades 1, highly reccomend.
You dont particularly need to play the first game to play this one, there would just be some dialogue or stuff like that you may not understand! but yeah, buy hades 2!!!!

Overall Hades and Hades 2 are some of my favorite rougelite/rougelike games (Whatever you wanna call it lol). Overall the game is very replayable with a myriad of builds and compelling characters. Somehow with context the game makes sense in lore when you beat the final boss of both the underworld and underworld. There's also an in game feature that allows you to highly increase the difficulty of the game! 10/10 game!
