GunBoxing is a free-to-play, fast-paced multiplayer shooter with a heavy focus on fighting game mechanics like melee combos/air juggles, parries, ducking and sidestepping attacks to punish, meter for super attacks, etc. combining long range shooting combat with crazy close range melee combat.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
"GunBoxing" is just a low key asset flip.. the quality of the sometimes mismatched looking assets is suspiciously much higher than the actual game is, and that's a glaring mismatch. Who's going to create a bunch of high quality assets and then phone in the actual game? It doesn't add up... unless you consider how easy it is for anyone, even people unqualified to make games, to get any and all the game assets they want. The game is essentially a kitbash of assets made by other people, poorly assembled by an amateur developer. These projects are usually rushed through Steam Direct as fast as possible, and the lack of professional standards means the end result is something no gamer should waste their time on. This is a bland, generic and painful PVP arena shooter asset fliped out of Unreal Marketplace assets dumped onto a basic FPS game blueprint. The developer did at least add a crappy "rage meter" that doesn't really change the fact this is an incredibly lazy Unreal kitbash. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, we quickly find they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "GunBoxing". Next is pricing and what value this has for gamers. This isn't really free as the developer is trying to scam gamers into trading "NFT" community items in the Steam Community Marketplace... this is never okay. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.
