This is my first Steam Review - i had to share with you how utterly terrible this game is. I am anoyed at myself that i purchaed it on trust before there were reviews. Its utter garbage. Gunrange - this is not an accurate description, pporly scripted and unusable objects - is a betterone. save your money for somethign of value to your life.
游戏设计太恶心了,需要按住手柄才能拿住枪,声音画面都不好
just play hotdogs, horseshoes and hand grenades. It's better in very way, shape and form.

Gun Range VR is a virtual reality shooting experience developed by Jeffrey Cretin and published by Limited Resources. Rather than positioning itself as a highly detailed firearm simulator, the game embraces a more relaxed and accessible design philosophy. It aims to provide players with an entertaining virtual shooting range where experimentation and replayability take precedence over realism. This straightforward approach works in its favor because it sets clear expectations from the outset, appealing to players who simply want to enjoy handling virtual weapons without learning complicated mechanics or realistic firearm procedures. The game's primary attraction is its sandbox shooting range, where players are free to experiment with an assortment of firearms and interactive objects. Virtual reality naturally enhances this experience, allowing players to physically aim, reload, and fire weapons in a way that feels immersive despite the game's relatively simple mechanics. The environment encourages players to explore beyond basic target practice by hiding various secrets and interactive elements throughout the range. These additions create a greater sense of curiosity and make the sandbox feel more dynamic than a standard shooting gallery. While the environments themselves are not especially large or visually complex, they provide enough freedom to let players enjoy the satisfying act of shooting in VR. To keep the gameplay from becoming repetitive too quickly, Gun Range VR includes sixteen separate mini-games that test different aspects of shooting, including speed, precision, and accuracy. Each challenge features its own online leaderboard, giving competitive players an opportunity to compare their scores with others. The game also maintains an overall leaderboard that tracks the best performances across the various activities. These competitive features provide an incentive to replay the mini-games repeatedly in pursuit of higher rankings, extending the game's lifespan beyond simple target practice. Although the objectives remain fairly straightforward, the variety offered by the different modes helps prevent the experience from feeling completely one-dimensional. Additional features further strengthen the overall package. Steam achievements, collectible trading cards, unlockable content, and a guest profile for local visitors all contribute to a more complete experience than the modest premise might initially suggest. The guest profile is particularly useful for introducing friends to virtual reality without affecting the primary player's statistics, making the game a convenient showcase title for casual VR sessions. The developer also designed the game with ongoing improvements in mind, reflecting an effort to expand the available content and keep players engaged over time. Visually, Gun Range VR clearly reflects its origins as an early generation VR release. The graphics are functional rather than cutting-edge, with simple environments and modest visual effects that prioritize stable performance over realism. Fortunately, responsive controls and smooth interactions remain more important than graphical fidelity in a game built around physical shooting mechanics. Weapon handling feels enjoyable within the scope of the experience, even if players looking for authentic firearm simulation or advanced customization options may find the mechanics somewhat limited. The game succeeds by focusing on accessibility instead of overwhelming players with unnecessary complexity. Its greatest weakness lies in the limited overall depth. Despite offering multiple mini-games and an enjoyable sandbox, much of the gameplay revolves around repeating similar shooting activities. Players seeking an extensive progression system, diverse environments, or realistic ballistic simulation may eventually find themselves wanting more. The title also shows its age compared to more modern VR shooters that feature richer visuals, larger environments, and deeper gameplay systems. Nevertheless, the game remains faithful to its original goal of delivering an inexpensive and entertaining virtual shooting experience without overpromising features it cannot provide. Gun Range VR ultimately serves as a solid introduction to VR target shooting for players who value simple, pick-up-and-play gameplay. Its combination of sandbox experimentation, competitive score chasing, hidden secrets, and intuitive virtual reality interactions creates an experience that remains enjoyable within its intended scope. While it lacks the sophistication and realism of newer VR firearm titles, it succeeds as a casual virtual shooting range that offers enough variety to justify repeated sessions. For players looking for an affordable VR sandbox focused on fun rather than simulation, it remains a worthwhile title that delivers exactly what it sets out to achieve. Rating: 5/10
