Actually flipping the assets would be effort i guess? 5min of my life i will never get back
I wish there was a neutral recommendation. This game does have potential. It seems good enough and you get your money's worth I suppose. It is relativity easy. My biggest compliant is the lack of wood resources. Is that the point? Review at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grpfVqUFHaE&t=22s
no news or sign of life from the dev since september 2018... tired of waiting, i bury this game in my scam category.

Seit Kurzem ist das spiel mit Support zurück ich hoffe jetzt wird das auch was =) =)
"Grimtale Island" is a badly made survival game almost certainly kitbashed from some Unreal template or other, with a bunch of, yeah, you guessed it, flipped assets. It's a janky, unfinished mess, and despite not being in Early Access, comes across as more unfinished than most abandoned Early Access projects here on Steam. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $7 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
it wont load I cant even play at all it just crashes
Soo much better, the new updates and island scheme make at scary
great fun game.
