About
You are an intrusion, and the system has already started cleaning up. Autonomous machines converge from every direction, and Wardens seal the routes into the deeper sectors. The Grid doesn't want you beaten, it wants you resolved, overwritten, gone.
It never occurs to the network that its own machines can be turned.
Kills charge your Hack. Spend it and a hostile machine becomes yours, turning its guns on the things it arrived with. One conversion becomes your bodyguard, and a good run turns a pack of machines against the Grid.
Every upgrade charge opens a Neural Patch: three modifications, one pick, taken while the arena is still filling. Push fire rate, projectile count, range, vitality, or how many machines you can hold at once. Choose under pressure and the rest of the run bends around it.
Conversions charge something worse. Trigger Grid Demon Mode when you judge the moment and move faster, hit harder, and flood the floor with glitched firepower until it burns out.
Each Grid escalates the roster, the pressure and the ground you fight on. Survive long enough and its Warden exposes its core. Break it and the checkpoint is permanent — death ends the run, not the ground you took.
