This is a great game. Started the story mode, found it VERY punishing at first, with so many bad things that can happen to you, simulating a survival situation in the middle of the Amazon jungle. Despite being hard, you can learn a lot as you play - but not without a bit of help from external Wikis - well this was my case as I wanted to advance in the game and not just keep suffering. Once you learn the basic survival mechanisms the game becomes really enjoyable, as you start to manage and even prevent all kinds of bad situations that may happen. And this allows you to start exploring the jungle and uncover the incredible/strong story behind everything. It's well worth the play, especially for people who enjoy survival games/theme. Reminded me of The Long Dark - but in the jungle, maybe a bit harder, and with a better storyline. So far I've just played the Story mode, will continue with the other modes.

Green Hell is one of, if not the most, challenging survival crafting games I have ever played. It forces you to learn or die from day one. By the end, it is quite easy if you are prepared with enough bandages with different ointments, ants, maggots, etc. Water is by far the easiest thing to manage—just drink from wherever and eat blue mushrooms to get rid of parasites. The most difficult part is getting to know the layout of the maps. Yes, there are multiple maps in each of the game modes. Progress seems a bit incoherent, and reading the map takes a bit of getting used to, but I personally liked the idea of not having a pointer telling you where you are. One last tip: press F for your watch and scroll with your mouse wheel. I feel stupid to admit it took me a good hour to figure that out! :D

so much more intense than a regular survival game. bit of a learning curve, but fun.
