This one was...interesting. Definitely not a horror game, but it had a couple of good jump scares none the less. It seems to have some lore, but doesn't really explore it at all. In fact, it steers very clear of explaining anything. The music, as promised in the game's description, is very good. Mostly piano instrumentals, typically played if you encounter a radio or during walks between "areas". Sometimes, the main character waxes poetic. I couldn't tell if I was supposed to take her seriously or not...this game is offbeat enough that it could've been satirical without me realizing it, but...seemed serious to me? MOST of the game is VERY offbeat. I think many people will draw a connection to The Stanley Parable here. There is meta humor, fourth wall breaks, and hidden QR codes to cat videos on Youtube. My reference may be dated a bit, but it almost reminds me of the sense of humor from the Quest for Glory series of games back on DOS. A mixture of wall breaks and puns that will either hit or miss, depending on your sense of humor. You may find the game's ending less than satisfying, but it matches with what is going on (or at least, I think it does). Still..I would've liked a better conclusion, personally. The game lasted me two hours (I had to replay it with a guide to get one achievement), but since I paid $1.50 for it during a sale, and got several chuckles and a couple of jumps, I feel like it was worth the price of admission!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game; it was a rollercoaster of emotions. The gameplay seamlessly blends fun, fear, and tranquility, creating a unique and captivating experience. The surreal and mysterious atmosphere is reminiscent of Twin Peaks, while the clever and unexpected twists reminded me of The Stanley Parable. The immersive and contemplative environment had echoes of Firewatch. For anyone who loves these titles, this game is a must-play. A nice touch is the option to change the weather after finishing the game, which is a pleasant addition.
Decent game for only .74 cents with a little spice of The Stanley Parable in it.
The game fascinated me with the landscapes, the atmosphere and the jokes he says on the side following a certain interaction with the environment. I want to thank Andrey Gubin. Have fun!
Incredibly fun, relaxing, with a good sense of humor and some well timed little scares.
Great North Shelter 2 parodies walking simulators and manages to be amazingly good looking. Gave me bunch of good laughs while being at awe in the beautiful scenery.
