FSR is very poor in this game...
No controller support????
great fun
played for 14 hours, both solo and with friends. i really wanted to like this, but i don't think it's worth the price. the movement feels janky, the performance is poorly optimized, the missions are long and often boring, and the rng can be absolutely brutal. spent about 2 hours trying to get one key for a quest, burning through ammo and medical supplies, only to give up. maybe it's just not for me, but after 14 hours i've had enough. maybe.
Gray Zone Warfare wins me over mainly through its gameplay mechanics: the mix of tactical gunplay, gear management, and extraction gameplay just clicks. The graphics are solid, but nothing more — textures and lighting could use a bit more polish, though it doesn't really hurt the overall impression. The helicopter transports especially stand out: they add a real sense of immersion and give the game a cinematic feel that a lot of extraction shooters are missing. The survival elements (eating/drinking) are also well-balanced — they add presence without turning into the kind of annoying busywork you get in so many other games. All in all, a genuinely solid experience — a clear recommendation for fans of tactical extraction shooters!
Game needs some expanding on, and tasks aren't the greatest progression method imo. We'll see what happens since this is pre-release. I also don't care to put much more time into this since they will do a clean wipe whenever the game is officially released - and since its been over 2 years, I think they should probably get on with it already.
