Fake Worlds End follows two somewhat unrelated stories, Yutarou; the real world protagonist and a whiny bum, and Tarou; The protagonist of a story a side character tells and the greatest "Rou" to ever "Rou" in a CHARON game. Contrary to the CHARON norm, this game doesnt have any yanderes that want to kill you, and has a mere two endings, though there are a lot of CG's. This game also features CHARON's old pixel style, which I really enjoyed. IMHO this game is fanservice to CHARON fans who have enjoyed their Pre-2018 works. It directly references Mikoto Nikki, Mix Ore, Makoto Mobius, Yanderella, Empty Words, Shihori Escape, Tsukimi Planet, Full Bokko Youchien, Menherafflesia, Dark Side of Red Riding Hood, and Cradle of Ruin. For the reason above, [b]I CANNOT RECOMMEND[/b] reading this if you haven't experienced their previous works (I mean I guess it kinda works as a standalone game, but not really). However, [b]I WILL RECOMMEND[/b] this game if you have enjoyed their previous games (you could probably do all of them in an afternoon lol) because then you can be like me and go: [i]"OH EM GEE IS THAT MATSURI?!?!"[/i] when your favorite character from a previous game pops up.
