Muuten hyvä mutta lopussa valahti
This game has earned a place amongst my favourite games of all time.
Bugged as hell.
12/10 Game
Gothic 1, aneb nostalgický návrat do svého dětství s přidanou hodnotou.
I like it. Good: 1) The game is hard in the beginning but as you spend on training it gets much easier. That's not to say you aren't necessarily going to die in a fight of course. 2) The story is good, you could probably roleplay it if you wanted. 3) You have choices and you can't roll them back, but some are not obvious. Bad: 1) "Lag". It isn't laggy except at certain places and then only in specific circumstances. It relates to assets loading in, mostly out of sight, which causes Entity Lag. Once they are loaded in it works fine. So it always lags when you are near the old camp, new camp and swampcamp. Draw your on conclusions but I think it might be simply needing a more experience. 2) You can soft-lock the storyline for side quests. There are occasionally circumstances that must be filled to progress a quest (Looking at you, Minecrawler Armour), which aren't obvious. Other: There were complaints about Fast Travel, Quest Markers and Maps. 1) There is Fast Travel but you have to work for it by finding teleport circle runestones. 2) Yeah, I understand the Quest Markers thing, but this game expects players to find things for themselves, by exploring and actually talking to named NPC's without skipping. I don't have an issue with that, and I do have a disparaging name for players who do. 3) Maps. This uses a mechanic that does not depend on mobile phone expectations. You are dropped into the area with nothing but clothes, no training and never having been in the area. You have to buy a map for the Valley and additional ones for each camp, which makes logical sense because you don't know jack about the area.
Das Spiel übertrifft meine Erwartungen komplett.
Fajny powrót do przeszłości.
