Gothic 1 Remake

It's good, looks good, runs well, I like the story, I like the world. Combat is fine but never felt o boy what a great fight. buuuut it's janky... Both charming jank like enemies killing each other when they block each other but also gamebreaking bugs where characters don't go where they are supposed to and only way to fix it is with console commands. Also had boss fights completely break, character getting stuck in pathing when trying to enter cut scene all requiring reload.

Super Spiel. Tolle Atmosphäre. Ein rundum gelungenes Remake, welches mich sehr lange an den Bildschirm gefesselt hat. Das hat in den letzten 15 Jahren kein anderes Spiel so geschafft !

One of the best remakes I've ever played. This is Gothic, just significantly improved. I played the original back in the day, and this game brought me right back to that time and that adventure. And honestly, it was wonderful. Really, really wonderful. The variety in the different areas of the map, the camps, and the points of interest is absolutely in the spirit of adventure that made the original so special. The environment looks beautiful, and the weather changes, day/night cycle, and overall world activity make the game feel very dynamic. The variety of monsters, along with their distinct behaviours, is also really noticeable and adds a lot to exploration. My only real criticism is a design flaw with the lockpicking system. The better your lockpicking skill gets, the more likely it becomes that you simply can't open certain chests because of the way the mechanic works. That's quite contradictory for a progression based skill. It honestly wouldn't bother me that much if the game didn't have a dynamic economy. One of the things I loved about Gothic was being able to collect all kinds of stuff while exploring and then sell it for a ridiculous amount of ore, which would help me afford other things I needed. With the current system, that part of the experience feels somewhat diminished. Overall, though, huge respect to the team. You absolutely nailed the spirit of Gothic. Now eagerly waiting for the Gothic 2 Remake, the best game in the series.

Stary dobry Gothic

I have a huge nostalgia factor for this game with my friends and i feel like the remake is done right, they even added a few things here and kept it faithful and hard just like the original. I would not recomend this to anyone as the game is brutally hard in the begining and as you go along you are getting much and much stronger which makes the game a lot easier, the progression is very very hard without guides, but rewards you a lot, exploration is also very rewarding.

Ein meisterhaftes Remake in allen Bereichen und endlich mal wieder fantastisch deutsch gesprochene Charactere, vielen Dank dafür. In sonstigen AAA Titeln is ja die deutsche Sprachausgabe furchtbar. Minimale Kritik: Ein QOL das mir persönlich fehlt wäre eine Inventarsortierung und ggfs bissl weniger Hardwarehunger ;)
