Fun game! Play it during my work break - its fun to watch all the little guys kick the balls at lighting speed
Surprisingly addictive little idle game! Gold 'n Goal is exactly what a good incremental game should be: easy to pick up, hard to put down. You watch your tiny pixel players hop around the pitch, score goals, and the money just keeps rolling in — and somehow it's incredibly satisfying every single time. Upgrading your team, unlocking powerups and chasing that next crit multiplier creates a really nice "just one more upgrade" loop. A note on the negative reviews: most of them refer to bugs from earlier versions. The developer has been super responsive, and the bugs I encountered have all been patched — the game runs smoothly for me now. Don't let outdated reviews put you off. Perfect game to have running on the side, but be warned: "just 5 minutes" easily turns into an hour. Charming pixel art, great for short sessions. Recommended!
Keine Kaufempfehlung
Fun game about watching numbers go up and clean up balls from the field, which has a really satisfying quality. Not too deep, but does the job of turning your mind off and make it focus on football players, balls and turning money into upgrades.
Fun incremental game. Really liked the goofyness of adding more and more balls, goals and player to the field. Gets a bit overwhelming in the later matches, but in a good way. The artstyle is charming too.
A nice idler that can be played actively and passively. Updates have noticably improved pacing!
Several prestige upgrades just flatout don't work, out of the rest the majority are powerup based rather than pure improvements which is a preference I guess, but doesn't fit the Idler tag. Overall, slow and not rewarding to play.
Pumped in 4 hours on my first play - thats how addictive it is :D Many of the mentioned bugs seem to be fixed and its definitely worth the price. Money and balls go brrrrrrt!
Edit: Since posting, the developer has addressed the 16:10 aspect ratio and the game now displays correctly on my 1920x1200 monitor. Thanks! Original: I played the Gold'n Goal demo during next fest and had a blast. I played soccer growing up, and I've been playing a lot of incrementals, so this was a must try for me (even though I honestly wasn't expecting much). The gameplay is so delightfully absurd it just made my night. I knew I had to buy it when it came out. It is a wonderful balance of fun gameplay while still being a great little idler. The biggest downside is that the game (from what I've seen so far - I haven't finished all the content) doesn't really evolve much from the demo. I think there are more prestige options, but it doesn't feel like the gameplay changes fundamentally from one run to the next. To be fair, this is coming from the perspective of occasionally jumping in to use my player to score some goals directly (which is still a delight in short bursts) and mostly letting the game run in idle, which means that so far I've skipped all of the cool sounding power moves you can get from prestiging in favor of upgrades that work better for idle play. I also haven't gotten to the Euro League yet, so idk if that actually changes anything or if it's simply a label. I wish there were more visible changes as you move through the league matches - for the different teams, and for each run through the league. Even a slight change in scenery would make the progression feel less artificial and repetitive. The lack of any sort of meaningful change aside from the speed at which progress occurs is the reason that I haven't gone back to the game to see if there is more beyond what I already played. There's also no clear goal - once you've one the league you just play through it again. Idk if I'm aiming for 5/5 league wins in order for something else to happen or what. Also, my 1920x1200 resolution doesn't appear to be supported. The game is cut off on the sides, and I haven't seen a way to change it. Despite these things, I still can't help but recommend the game after what a delightful time I had with it in the beginning. The UI feels like it could use more polish, but much of the game design itself is very thoughtful and well done. Even just the fact that the ball will always move toward the closest goal regardless of the direction you're kicking from is brilliant in the context of a simple incremental game. If you want to let the game idle for a little while, it is entertaining to glance over and see your teammates rushing about the field scoring goals. If you play actively for a while, it is a fun time, and the special abilities are cool. Your mileage may vary, but for me, the level of fun I had was worth the money, even if so far it hasn't carried me through all of the content.
