Read this, boy: I don't know exactly why I wasn't able to finish this in 2022. About 15 of my hours are from an initial unfinished playthrough. I managed to 100% the game in roughly 43 hours of almost daily play in 2 weeks. I did mess around with the difficulty for the trials in Muspelheim and Niflheim because they got a bit tedious. Otherwise, I beat the game on hard, but not the max difficulty. I played on controller. Very good story-based game. It was nice and contained, with every detail feeling like it was crafted with purpose. Fantastic voice acting, alluring spectacle, and even running through places you've been before felt fine because it is just really damn pretty. The combat grew on me as I kept playing. It definitely feels more rewarding on the higher difficulty since the optional content gets you strong fast. Unlocking different abilities and combos was daunting at first but really began to feel good as I got more comfortable. All my homies hate Tatzelwurms and blindness mechanics.
