God Of Thunder

best game from my childhood.

I actually played this obscure game back in the day on my older brother's computer. He'd download a bunch of games to keep me occupied. I had completely forgotten about this game until watching a SNES Drunk video talking about obscure games. My mind exploded the moment I saw the game on the screen once that forgotten memory came flooding back. I downloaded and started playing. This game has that old-school humor that was prevalent back in those days (kinda like the original Monkey Island) and that I find amusing. Anyway, the game play can be a little challenging when it comes to timing insta-death projectiles using kinda wonky directional keys and a speedy little hero. It has just enough "go talk to this person and then find the item they want to get a key" style quests to keep you entertained but nothing where it starts to feel like tedious, never ending fetch quests (looking at you, No Man's Sky...). Anyway, if you can tolerate really old games like this, this is a great game. If not, it's understandable. Nevertheless, I recommend this game.

I never played this when I was a kid. Quite a neat, hidden and free gem this game is! Only minor thing, I wish the game didn't crash when I go fullscreen, but it was still very enjoyable in window mode.

Great game. Lots of memories palying this when I was little, still very enjoyable today.
