[olist] [*]This is not FC, remember this [*]This game is FREE, remember this [*]This not developed by EA, they don't have the same budget [*]It's arcade style, but 80% of the mechanics from FC is there, still not FC though [*]It's very fast paced, matches scores are usually above 3:3 [*]Defensive AI is kind of idle, so you have to rely purely on your own defending [*]Graphics are acceptable, but game runs very well [*]Network is exceptional, matchmaking is fast and high ping is very well handled [*]100% inclusive and teams are mixed with both male and female players, pretty unique [*]Team building mechanics are great, it's very satisfying to have a good player perform exactly the way you want [*]Game is maintenaned and updated very frequently, it's still evolving and getting better [*]Not grindy, you can get a decent team in about a week or two of playing regularly, and a very good team in a month [*]All players get the same XP, whether they are on the field, bench, or in reserve. So you don't have to play them to upgrade them [*]No cashgrab mechanics or dark patterns: game is free, but there is only 1 game currency and 1 real currency, and game doesn't shove stuff in your face to buy all the time. not pop up menu, nothing [*]You can't keep your best players forever, because they age and retire around 34. Good thing is, players only age during match time. [*]Stats matter to a point, but skills matter more. I have been rekt by team with 10 points overall less than me, and I have done the same as well. [*]Match-making isn't alway the best, like with any games you might get some easy wins, then suddenly lose 10-0. There usually are one or two meta moves. Contrary to what people say, they are usually hard to perform and can actually be countered is someways, it is extremely frustrating though. But the devs keep working on those. [*]This is not FC, remember this [*]This game is FREE, remember this [/olist] All and all, I love this game, always wanted to enjoy a football game, but FC is gate kept by extremely skilled and toxic players, so it was a breath of fresh air for me. Again, it's free, and it's not FC, give it a try.

[h1]Remember, the devs didn't have the same resources as a AAA game publisher.[/h1] GOALS is a good game. It's not a great game by any means but it's not a bad game by any means either, most of the reviews are unjustified because they take their 60 OVR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a team to compete against an 85 OVR player and expect to clap their cheeks. BUT I would like to say the ugly side is what keeps me from fully recommending this game. [h1]The Good:[/h1] [list] [*]It's Free! You guys complain too much for something you didn't spend a dime on. [*]The game runs smoothly. There's not much of an optimization issue, I can run Epic settings without FG pretty smoothly. [*]0 P2W. There's genuinely no P2W in the game almost all purchases are cosmetic and those which aren't cosmetic barely benefit you. [*]It's fun. The momentum in this game is unmatched and feels better than the sluggish FIFA and FC games and keeps you entertained. [*]Very basic football rules. No nerdy ♥♥♥♥ to deal with. [*]Great team building. It's genuinely satisfying to improve the team knowing the match isn't scripted or rigged like FC. [/list] [h1]The Bad:[/h1] [list] [*]Poor graphics. The graphics are definitely not current gen level but they're not an eyesore either so it's fine ig. [*]Goalkeepers really don't matter. Doesn't matter if your GK is 20 OVR or 99, you will still be defeated 10-nil to an 80 OVR striker. [/list] [h1]The Ugly:[/h1] [list] [*]The defensive AI is horrible. Defenders remain fully idle which when paired with numbskull keepers the game feels horrible during defense. The entire defending is done by you and you only. [*]The skill-based matchmaking is a joke. One game you're paired against someone with a team 20 OVR higher than yours and the next game you're paired with a new player with a 60 OVR team. It's a very ragebait-y loop where the first game you lose 10-nil and the next game you win 10-nil. [*]The game is immature, the mechanics keep changing. Every week there's a patch that changes the game for bad or good. Last patch they completely changed passing for the better but the problem is that someone who spent their effort learning the god-awful passing system is punished because of the implementation of a new feature. You stop playing for a month and every game-related skill you learnt is rendered useless. [/list] But then you have to remember that this game is free of cost, developed by a team much smaller than EA, funded with money much less than FC. Support the devs cause FC27 will finally get competition!

I like the idea around it, it just needs some small adjustments, but overall enjoying the game
