the shields break the game. it infinitely multiplies your defense till the game crashes.

This is to easy. Stack defense, life steal, damage, and faster attack rate with 1 or 2 upgrades into movement speed then circle around everything. Eventually you get over 100% defense. At that point you can stand around and not take damage. It took about wave 22ish to get to the point that my healing and defense were both enough that I could take damage but heal it right away. I got up to wave 82 but accidentally hit "return to menu". There was no confirmation on it, ending my run. One of the achievements has been busted since July 2023. It took about 45 minutes to get all of the other achievements. There are 5 or 6 types of enemies. The waves only increase in number. The randomnes of the upgrades means its possible to not get a damage upgrade for a long time. I got 1 upgrade after about 30 waves.

This is not a game. This is some 8th grader's project, if that. Mouse support? Nope. Controller support? Nope. Windowed mode? Well, yes if you like 800x600 (approx) and having to reselect it every time you play. This is just awful. Steam is turning into the Apple App store, filled with more garbage than quality. 0/5 Here is a tip: if you're going to make a game this obviously terrible, make it $0.99 or people will absolutely take the time to refund it.

Isso não é um 'jogo'. Se fosse acesso antecipado, com estimativa de finalização, poderia até mesmo ser muito bom, mas não da para usar o mouse, não da para usar controle, não da para selecionar a resolução da tela, apenas tela cheia ou uma tela muito pequena de aproximadamente 800x600. Você anda de forma lenta, mesmo melhorando a velocidade, corre dos inimigos enquanto sua arma é atirada neles, sendo apenas uma e sem possibilidade de troca, apenas pegar os upgrades e habilidades, mas o cenário é apenas um, mudando o nível da fase e os inimigos são bem poucos, apenas aumentando em quantidade.

Simple, fun and a great price! Well balanced survivor type. I have spent more on coffee, and coffee cant be replayed... unless you are into that sort of thing. Plays great on Steam Deck too.

Sem variedade de inimigos, arena, gladiador e por sinal poderia ter boss a cada 5 ou 10 ondas. E quem sabe um objetivo a se alcançar? Por mais que tenha certa variedade de armas, a partir de certo ponto acaba não importando mais, quando se consegue defesa ou life steal o suficiente, não importa quantos inimigos apareçam você simplesmente não tem mais perigo de vida tornando o jogo infinito, podendo deixar rodar em quanto faz outras coisas, só movimentando para escolher o upgrade de skill. Por tanto é uma completa perda de tempo, já vi jogos demo muito mais completos e divertidos do que esse, apresenta uma premissa boa no gênero roguelike mas peca em vários elementos, parece um projeto inacabado.

Super rudimentary game, feels like a student project. Every round is the same 4 enemies. No real challenge, no meta progression, no interesting combos or synergies. There are lots of other games you can spend your $3 on.

If you like Vampire Survivors, Bounty of One, Army of Ruin, Brotato, Bone Raiser Minions, & Soulstone Survivors then you'll like Gladiator's Arena. It also plays great of the Steam Deck. You get a selection of weapons at the start. Your character also has the ability to dash to dodge attacks from enemies. You fight off waves of various animals, & other gladiators. Between waves, you can upgrade your abilities such as attack rate, armor, attack strength, & even acquire special abilities. Your character starts out moving slowly & can't dash very far. With some of the right upgrades, you can remedy that. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 3.5. Its a fun game for a few minutes at time, largely because you fight in the same stage all the time. I get the fact that its in an arena (suggested by the title of the game). It would be cool if in an update, extra stages would be added with variations or shapes to make it more wide open or more confined. At the very least, different looking arenas could be added. There are other games out there that were done better. Its not a bad game & it is definitely worth the price, but its hard to put it above Vampire Survivors, Bounty of One, Army of Ruin, or Soulstone Survivors. EDIT (07-16-2023): I still recommend this game, but I wanted to make a few extra notes that I discovered. Once your character gets really powered up, the game doesn't become a challenge anymore. I managed to get my defense up to 100% & was able to fend off waves while standing still without moving. While the enemies become more numerous, they don't get anymore powerful. This prevents the game from becoming a challenge as you go further. I got to about Wave 66 & got bored because I couldn't take any damage. I'm going to amend my rating from 3.5 to 3. Maybe with a future update or patch, this can be fixed.
