Good. I really like the art and the mini game was fun so I recommend it. I think it took about minutes to beat.
The game is virtually impossible to play with a thumb controlled trackball mouse and there appears to be no way to use the keyboard to control the paddle. It's not really worth continuing to try and play. It took me about eight tries to get past the very first puzzle. If there was an option to use the arrow keys to control the paddle of this Arkanoid style game, it might be worth it... but there isn't, so it's not.
This game is a Lovecraftian horror masterpiece.
When I first launched this game, I didn't think much of it. I assumed it was just another uninspired Unity "passion project," doomed to fade into obscurity like so many others. But what I got was something far beyond my expectations — something deeply unsettling, something that crawled under my skin and refused to leave. This is, without a doubt, the scariest game I've ever played, and possibly one of the scariest games of all time... From the very beginning, there’s a suffocating sense of dread, an atmosphere so thick you can almost choke on it. The world is oppressive, alien, and indifferent to your existence. Shadows stretch in unnatural ways, strange whispers echo through the halls, and the deeper you go, the less certain you are that you were ever supposed to be here. The game doesn’t rely on cheap jumpscares — no, its horror is slow, creeping, and inevitable, like some unseen cosmic force watching from just beyond the veil of reality. The storytelling is phenomenal in its subtlety. You never get full explanations — only fragments, cryptic notes, and brief, fleeting glimpses of something vast and unknowable. It’s the kind of horror that lingers in your mind long after you’ve turned the game off, making you question what you saw... and what you didn’t. The sound design is on another level entirely. The distant groans of something titanic moving in the dark, the dissonant strings that rise and fall like an otherworldly chant, and the static-laced whispers that seem to slither directly into your ears — it all combines to create an experience that is truly nightmarish. If you love Lovecraftian horror, this is an absolute must-play. It captures the essence of cosmic terror better than any game I’ve played before. And if you’re the kind of person who thinks they don’t get scared easily... well, this game will prove you wrong. Final Verdict: 10/10 – A masterpiece of existential horror.
GIRLS VS TENTACLES is a niche indie action title developed by Hell Bomb Studio and published by Cuties Ligic that knows exactly what kind of experience it wants to deliver. Built around an intentionally outrageous premise, the game throws players into battles against relentless tentacled enemies while presenting a lighthearted blend of arcade gameplay and mature anime aesthetics. It is not a game that aims to reinvent the action genre or tell a memorable story. Instead, it embraces its identity as a compact, fan-service-focused release intended for players who appreciate straightforward gameplay wrapped in an eccentric package. At its core, the game offers a simple combat loop that is easy to understand within minutes. Players guide their chosen heroine through enemy-filled stages, avoiding attacks while clearing waves of increasingly aggressive foes. The controls are responsive enough to keep encounters enjoyable, and the pace remains brisk throughout most of the experience. However, the title's greatest strength—its accessibility—is also one of its biggest drawbacks. The mechanics rarely expand beyond their initial concepts, leaving little room for experimentation or mastery. As a result, extended sessions can begin to feel repetitive, especially for players accustomed to more robust action systems. The presentation does much of the heavy lifting when it comes to maintaining interest. Hell Bomb Studio leans heavily into anime-inspired visuals, delivering colorful character designs and exaggerated animations that fit the game's over-the-top tone. The environments are functional rather than impressive, serving as backdrops to the action without adding much personality to the overall experience. Despite its modest production values, the game runs smoothly and avoids many of the technical issues commonly associated with smaller indie releases, making for a relatively polished experience within its limited scope. One aspect worth noting is the game's commitment to its theme. GIRLS VS TENTACLES never attempts to disguise what it is, and there is an honesty in that approach. Players looking for a serious narrative, deep character development, or extensive progression systems are unlikely to find much to enjoy here. Conversely, those seeking a short, entertaining diversion centered around campy humor and exaggerated scenarios will probably appreciate its willingness to remain focused on its intended audience. The title feels less like a traditional action game and more like an interactive novelty designed to provide a few hours of uncomplicated entertainment. The audio package is competent, featuring energetic music tracks that help maintain momentum during combat sequences. Sound effects do their job without drawing much attention to themselves, though they lack the impact and variety found in larger productions. Replayability is also somewhat limited, as there are few incentives to revisit completed content beyond personal enjoyment or achievement hunting. Nevertheless, considering its budget price point and specialized appeal, the game generally succeeds in delivering the experience promised by its store description. Ultimately, GIRLS VS TENTACLES is a title that lives or dies by its premise. It offers accessible gameplay, stable performance, and a distinctive visual identity, but it is held back by repetitive mechanics and a lack of meaningful depth. It will not appeal to everyone, nor does it attempt to. For fans of Hell Bomb Studio's previous releases or players with an interest in quirky adult-themed indie games, it provides a serviceable and occasionally amusing experience that remains entertaining in short bursts. Short. Concise. You get what you pay for. I think? All girls are white, thin and basiclly hairless.
