Gerrymap

This game once you get into it is very addicting, and covers a very unique niche that is surprisingly not covered yet in the wider market - kudos to the creator for this excellent start. The core premise in campaign mode is you're effectively the Southern Democrats redrawing the maps in time for the 1992 elections, with the 1994 election data. With this future knowledge - you effectively have to gerrymander the maps in the Democrats favor while considering core principles such as majority-minority districts, continuity, and equal(ish) population. The sandbox mode is a lot more freeform with much more states to play around with. Core improvements/things that would be nice in the future roadmap: - More states in campaign mode! Large population states like California, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania would be interesting. Smaller states like Massachusetts, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington would be interesting during this time as well. - Different scenarios. The game as you progress to different states does a good job uping the difficulty due to the demographic complexity of some states (looking at you - creating a second black-majority Georgia district). It'll be great to expand this to gerrymap states in Republican's favor, or adding election years. - Different goals: it'll be fun to also try to add modes where you have to submit the most "fair" maps that are proportional to a states vote, maps with the most competitive districts, or the most majority-minority districts. - Switching up the music. The piano track is fun and whimsy - but can get repetitive overtime. I'm sure there has to be a piano album (non-copyrighted I'm certain) of Sousa music that would be thematically inline but provides variety. - Assuming different modes/campaigns are implemented, a proper menu would be beneficial. - Minor one: a population density map view is really helpful in case we need to pad out our districts. Overall - this game is fun and has a lot of potential. Really hoping the developer continues this work!
