Fun little arcade game. Even though the game loop is very simple and short, I was able to catch myself playing it for 25 minutes or so. Runs great even on old hardware, controls are snappy and don't feel sluggish at all. Sound design is good, shooting foes feels very satisfying. Gameplay elements: - Yellow cubes are the most common type of polygon. Not much to say - The (green-ish?) triangles aren't fast as the others and kind of look like they're avoiding you sometimes (they're not). I guess they just float around and hope that you bump into them when distracted. - Orange cylinders are bullet sponges and move slightly slower than the cubes. They're great because they drop 3 gems (special attack) on death. - Red hexagons are the most dangerous ones by far. They have a distinct sound effect when near. They might look like they go at the same speed as the cubes, but they'll catch up with you, FAST. Definitely kill them first - Purple donuts. What's their deal? - I don't bother shooting the pillars. I'd much rather try to avoid them and shoot the polygons instead. If there is a lot of them in your way, you can shoot them with the special at point-blank range. Still won't kill them, but will leave them with low health. Feedback: I wish that jump had more gameplay relevance, maybe a polygon that goes real fast and the only way to avoid dying is jumping over it?
I went into Geometry Skies thinking it’d be a chill “zone out and vibe” type of game. I was wrong. So, so wrong. First of all, the game starts with the in-game music at 100%… but it NEEDS to be at 200%. I’m serious. The music and SFX are *that* good 🔥 Once you crank it up, it just hits different—pure chaos in the best way. Now let’s talk gameplay: No crosshair. None. Zero. At first I was like “huh, interesting design choice.” Five minutes later: “WHERE AM I AIMING???” It’s *way* harder than it looks. Like, disrespectfully harder. The kind of game where you say “just one more run” and suddenly it’s 2am and you’re questioning your life choices. And the spikes… THE GROUND SPIKES. Who hurt the dev??? I swear half my deaths are just me getting personally bullied by those things 😭 That said, it’s weirdly addictive. Beating your high score feels like winning the Olympics… even if your high score is, uh… let’s just say “character-building.” I fought for that number like my life depended on it. A few things I *really* wish it had: • Widescreen support (pls my monitor is crying) • Better resolution on distant polygons (sometimes it looks like geometry soup) • Maybe a smoother difficulty curve so I don’t go from “I got this” to “I am nothing” in 3 seconds Overall though? It’s a super fun time-killer—just be prepared for equal parts **vibes and suffering**. Final verdict: 🎮 Fun? Yes 🔥 Music? Slaps 😤 Rage potential? Extremely high 🧠 Skill issue? Absolutely mine 10/10 would get destroyed by spikes again.
Charmoso e desafiador, se gosta de jogos do genero recomendo!!
Um jogo divertido para passar o tempo, os efeitos sonoros de destruir os objetos são muito satisfatórios.
ABSOLUTE CINEMA 🙌, definitely indie game of the year.
simplesmente based
