Saw this recommended in a Reddit thread on hidden gems for the fall sale. Liked the description and the price. I admit, I'm not terribly fond of grindy types of games, but I caught myself saying "this looks like it could be addictive" while watching a YouTube walkthrough of the game. The grinding's not bad at all early on, but it has picked up a bit, particularly in the realm of exploring. It seems the cost to explore really gets jacked up a bit as the game progresses, but I suppose that means you have to go back and hit up some of the old drilling sites that are lucrative, which means mining more blocks and working further towards badges and research. I've played 10 hours now and the novelty is wearing off a touch, but I can easily see myself picking this back up when I need to do something slightly more mindless while still feeling like I'm progressing towards a goal.
No cloud save. My 38+ hours progress is vaporized on new PC. Very disapointed.
Fun little grinding game. It's only my 2nd game in 100+ library that I've actually bothered to unlock all achievements. Big fan of the music. Looking forward to the sequel.
Geo is a super-addictive space exploration and mining game that is full of colourful, fun art and has one of the best soundtracks in any indie game I have played. There is a huge variety of materials to drill and items to collect, and some really interesting power-ups and upgrades that you can unlock, levelling up your characters and building an interesting base too. Highly recommended!
Of Course, I recommend this game!
One of the most addictive click style games...the music is upbeat and creates an intensity to keep you going. So many characters and planets, etc. amazing amount of content. Artwork is very clean and appealing. Can't wait for GEO 2!! Play this game before the sequel comes out...you won't be disappointed!
Casual and fun, a good way to just relax. I've enjoyed the grinding, it's not too bad, if you are strategic about it. There is also potential here, looking forward to GEO 2.
I can't call it a good game. It's clunky, ugly, and lacking in basic features (like a pause menu). It's got a cookie click quality of mindless addictiveness, I play it when I'm too drunk to play a real game.
As I got it in a sale for about $3 - that's an okish price for this extremely grindy game. After a couple of hours, you know what's going on and from then on, is seems to be just more of the same. (IF there is more interesting stuff coming, they surely know how to hide expectations). But for that low price, I had my 3 hours of fun.. so, no regrets.
