A Disgusting Cash Grab – F2P Players Are Not Welcome This game has officially become a joke. The combat system is now built around unfair "elemental lockouts" that force you to pull for one specific, limited 5-star character just to clear basic content. The rewards for pulling are laughably pitiful, and saving up as a free-to-play player makes it nearly impossible to guarantee this unit. The new endgame (Abyss) is completely rigged. If you don't have the brand-new characters with the special "gimmick" reaction, you might as well not even try. Older characters—even well-invested ones—are utterly useless because they cannot trigger this mechanic. This is a massive slap in the face to veteran players who spent years building their rosters, and a horrible wall for new players. It feels like the devs are saying: "Pay up or quit." On top of the terrible gameplay loop, the new region's "water-themed" song is a disaster. Replacing the original singer with a non-Russian-speaking vocalist completely ruined the track. It sounds awful and shows a total lack of respect for the game's musical identity. The entire experience is just negative now. The community is frustrated, the promotional material is misleading, and the rewards for exploration are insultingly low. Trying to progress through the later content is literally impossible without swiping your credit card. Every character I pulled before this patch feels like a complete waste of resources. This game is absolutely NOT F2P friendly. To say it's "disappointing" would be an understatement—this is pure garbage. Stay away.

Genshin’s Downfall Now that Hoyo’s games like hsr and zzz are out, I feel like they dont put effort into genshin anymore. Their rewards are incredibly low compared to their other games and the newer designs are so repetitive. Take Sandrone for example. Sandrone had a good and cool design which made people want to pull for her. But then, suddenly they butchered her skirt twice and then blamed it on Signora?! This is so disappointing. The game I fell inlove with in 2021 is so different now. All the character have the same personality and same detached sleeves and short skirt design. Genshin also tends to not listen to their players at all. No one wanted Sandrone’s skirt to be that short but did the listen? No. Also, in Snezhnaya, Childe literally said if they didn’t keep moving then they would freeze to death. So why do the women have thigh highs and short skirts while the men are fully covered? And to ‘fix’ this problem they just randomly made Childe a pathological liar 😐. I truly hope that Genshin can fix their game from the poor rewards, to start taking feedback from their players and just to overall stop this pattern.

A cash-grab game. Here’s a natural English version that keeps the frustrated tone: We get way too few pulls per patch. Playing as a free-to-play player is incredibly difficult. The female characters are always wearing the same short skirt. The Cryo region has officially become the region of cystitis. Capitano and Dottore got scrapped, and apparently the only way to become a playable character is to be a woman in a short skirt. I’m so tired of this lack of variety.

It's good buttttt…. The game is absolutely amazing. It has good visuals and voice actors, but one thing that’s wrong with it is that there are no POC characters. Like, yes, there are characters with a little darkness to their skin, but that’s just tan. They don’t have any brown or dark characters. That’s really the only problem here but other than that it’s a great game!!!

I quit Genshin and you should too My dearest Genshin, for dearest you will always be to me, it’s time to let you go. As a player who has been playing this game since its release, I’ve had a lot of complaints, just like other long-time players. Not once have our complaints and requests to improve the game been heard. The game still has the same terrible reward system, there’s no button to skip side quests and unnecessary dialogues, Genshin is still as time-consuming as ever. Lately, I’ve only been logging in to follow the story, but when I realized that even the story was starting to lose its luster, I knew I didn’t want to waste my time on a game whose developers couldn’t care less about improving the game. All you get from an hour of gameplay is uninteresting dialogue, a protagonist with questionable morals, the forced romanticization of certain characters, the inability to skip unnecessary in-game events, and a measly reward of 15 Primogems. Stop wasting your money on this, leave an honest review, and maybe then the developers will listen to the players’ opinions.
