Mei is an open and kind girl, as well as an excellent student. She studies in a prestigious academy and has many friends. She loves her little sister very much and is willing to do everything to make her happy.

She is very attached to Mei and considers her to be the only person dear to her; but because of her personality she often quarrels with her.
On one endless day, Mei asks Aoi to walk around the city. During their walk, they meet a female student who studies with Mei named, Kaya. The girl showers them with a bunch of questions and forces herself to tag along with them. Kaya takes Mei’s attention the entire time. Aoi, seeing that Kaya is more interesting to her sister than her, walks behind them and feels lonely.
The flames of rage ignite inside of her. She’s angry at herself, her sister, and the whole world. She blames herself for her weakness and that she cannot offer her sister anything that would make her happy.

The game is deeply moot and I have very mixed feelings regarding it.

This VN certainly can give you chills, atmosphere here is really heavy. However there is very questionable setting and characters. And I just do not like the story at all... It is sadistic (and I am not about physical violence), perhaps this is how our heroine sees the world. Are all those suffering supposed to lead us somewhere? Because there is no clear ending in this already quite short novel, but I do not even know If it is worth to wait for continuation. There is yuri, but it is obscured and lost in mental health problems of heroines. Sound effects are quite apposite and helps with ambience, but cut quality is poor (and some fade-out will be great). Arts look pretty, even if sprites are reused. Backgrounds are rendered with good quality, but I am afraid they are out of place for VNs. I liked style of language (Russian, at least), but It appears that author have profound problems with English language, so expect some mistakes and rough translations, still it is in readable condition. I really do not like when characters are suffering w/o any purpose, and It seems like there it is done with relish. And there is no choices to make to help characters, so sit down and watch to girls in pain. For me it is over at this point. Credible as hell subjective opinion, more than enough. Well, nonetheless I've experienced some enjoyment from ambience and atmosphere, but this game is straight out not for me (and I do not even know for who), will recommend only because of the price.
Kind of interesting, short and beautiful art.
Gemini Disorder, developed and published by ReallyS, is a short but psychologically charged visual novel that delves into the fragile relationship between twin sisters and the disturbing boundaries of jealousy and identity. The story centers on Aoi and Mei, two sisters who appear identical but whose personalities could not be more different. Mei is lively, outgoing, and socially confident, while Aoi is quiet, withdrawn, and burdened by self-doubt. Their contrasting natures define the emotional heart of the game, setting the stage for a slow descent into obsession and mental collapse. The narrative unfolds as Mei invites Aoi for a walk through the city, an ordinary event that gradually transforms into a harrowing exploration of resentment, self-loathing, and the dangerous voice that begins whispering inside Aoi’s mind. Gemini Disorder uses this simple setup to explore complex emotional and psychological themes, creating an atmosphere of tension that grows steadily heavier as the story progresses. The structure of Gemini Disorder is that of a kinetic visual novel, which means it follows a strictly linear narrative without branching choices or alternate endings. Rather than relying on player decisions, the experience focuses on immersion through writing, pacing, and atmosphere. The story builds itself gradually, layering seemingly mundane conversations with unease until the underlying tension becomes undeniable. The lack of choice fits the story’s tone, as the player is not a participant shaping events but rather an observer being pulled helplessly into Aoi’s deteriorating mind. This perspective reinforces the sense of inevitability that defines the experience: we are watching a tragedy unfold in slow motion, powerless to change its outcome. The pacing is deliberate, allowing moments of calm to linger uncomfortably before they give way to outbursts of emotion or psychological distortion. What begins as a portrait of sibling rivalry slowly transforms into a study of mental disintegration and identity loss. What makes Gemini Disorder compelling is the way it blurs the line between inner conflict and external horror. Aoi’s growing resentment toward her sister Mei feels painfully real—rooted not in supernatural evil but in the very human fear of being overshadowed. Her jealousy, shame, and guilt are all familiar emotions, but they are amplified by the presence of a mysterious voice in her mind. Whether this voice represents an actual entity or simply the embodiment of Aoi’s fractured psyche is left ambiguous, which adds a layer of psychological depth to the story. As her envy deepens, her perception of reality begins to warp, and the narrative’s tone shifts from melancholy to disturbing. The game’s strength lies not in jump scares or overt horror, but in its ability to make the player feel trapped inside Aoi’s unraveling consciousness. The dialogue and internal monologues capture her emotional instability perfectly—her longing for affection, her hatred toward herself, and her confusion about her sister’s intentions—all of which spiral into something darker and irreversible. The presentation complements this narrative focus with a minimalist but effective visual style. The artwork is clean and expressive, with character portraits that shift subtly to reflect changing emotions and tension. The backgrounds are simple, yet they serve their purpose well, allowing the player’s attention to remain fixed on the dialogue and tone rather than visual spectacle. There are moments where visual distortion or sudden changes in lighting heighten the psychological discomfort, reinforcing the sense of Aoi’s fragile grip on reality. The soundtrack is equally restrained, consisting of soft ambient tones and occasional unsettling cues that mirror the protagonist’s mental state. The absence of voice acting is noticeable but not detrimental, as the writing and atmosphere carry the emotional weight. The game’s sound design uses silence as effectively as sound, creating a haunting rhythm that amplifies the unease during key scenes. Every element feels deliberately understated, allowing the story’s psychological intensity to take center stage. Despite its narrative strengths, Gemini Disorder is not without shortcomings. Its brevity may leave players wanting more—its story can be experienced in a single sitting, and while the pacing is tight, it ends just as its emotional momentum reaches its peak. The lack of interactivity may also disappoint players accustomed to branching narratives or multiple endings, as there is little incentive to replay once the conclusion has been reached. The kinetic format ensures that the storytelling remains focused, but it also limits player engagement. Some might argue that the game’s themes could have benefited from deeper exploration, especially regarding Aoi’s inner world and her relationship with Mei before their conflict escalates. Still, within its short runtime, the story maintains a consistent tone and avoids unnecessary detours, delivering a compact yet resonant experience. Technically, Gemini Disorder performs well, with smooth transitions and clear visuals. Its modest production values work in its favor, giving it an intimate, handmade feel that suits its narrative. It runs effortlessly on nearly any system, and the interface is simple to navigate, with text readability and pacing options that allow players to adjust the flow of dialogue. The game’s simplicity in design echoes its narrative focus: everything is built to serve the mood rather than to distract from it. The few minor rough edges—such as abrupt scene transitions or limited visual variety—are forgivable in light of the developer’s clear artistic intent. The goal is not to impress with spectacle, but to draw the player into an introspective and unsettling story about identity, emotion, and human weakness. What ultimately makes Gemini Disorder stand out is its ability to evoke empathy and discomfort simultaneously. It captures the raw emotions of envy and inadequacy in a way that feels both intimate and universal. The relationship between Aoi and Mei, though tragic, reflects the kind of psychological tension that can exist in any close bond—sibling, friendship, or otherwise—where love and resentment coexist. The game’s horror lies not in ghosts or monsters, but in the mirror it holds up to the player, forcing reflection on how jealousy, loneliness, and comparison can corrode even the most loving relationships. Its ending, though brief, lingers long after the credits roll, leaving the audience to question what is real, what is imagined, and what remains when a mind turns against itself. In the end, Gemini Disorder succeeds as a concise, emotionally charged piece of psychological storytelling. It may lack the depth or complexity of larger visual novels, but its focus and execution make it memorable. The writing, atmosphere, and visual restraint combine to create a haunting sense of intimacy, as if we are witnessing something too personal for comfort. It’s a story about twins, but more than that, it’s about the fractures that exist within every individual—the battle between love and hate, reason and madness, self and shadow. For players seeking a brief yet powerful psychological experience, Gemini Disorder offers a quietly disturbing journey into the darker corners of the human mind. Rating: 7/10

I actually liked this story. It's no way near perfect but it really was an interesting read about experience with psychological distress and depression (I have depression myself so I could relate). This is a separate story from the other Truth Disorders, so you don't have to read them in order to understand this one. The English is so-so but if you can bear with it, it's ok. I guess the fact that English is my 2nd language helped me to deal with it 'cause I don't care about the depth of the words as much as a native English speaker would.

Captivating story with an incredible twist. Highly recommend.
