"Game For Anna" is basically the same game as "Darkness Under The Bed" by the same developer. Why launch your game once when you can launch it twice? Now, unusually, this isn't some lazy asset flip gear, the developer instead made a (rather awful quality) real world set out of some toys and bits of cardboard and tape, then used the set to take photos of various scenes in a point and click horror adventure. Click through the scenes and get jumpscared by the doll, etc etc. It was amusing the first time, but pushing the exact same game repeatedly does nothing for gamers. Remember the home console crash of the 1980's and what caused it? Yeah. What do you do in the game? Point and click adventuring. Again. The game is quite short, and can be run through in just 15 minutes. The lack of content here makes it hard to suggest it's worth spending the time to add to your library and download. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
This game gives out a really unsettling vibe. A short and classic point and click game with a disturbing plot. Check out my playthrough if you like: https://youtu.be/DSQz4k_HGp0
Interesting and creepy short game
A Game for Anna is a rather strange experience. It’s weird, cryptic, and unsettling, but that’s exactly what drew me to it. I believe the game works well as a proof of concept. The final riddle is rather complex, but that only adds to the game’s mysterious and cryptic nature. The links to social media and the fourth-wall break at the end, which advertises the developer’s new game, do weaken the atmosphere slightly. They take away a bit from the feeling that this is a game “not meant for you.” However, it’s not enough to make the experience unplayable. The final question that remains is: who is Anna?
my boner.....
Очень короткая игра, дополнение к игре Darkness under my bed.
